http://shotsfiredpodcast.com/ New website, new studio, same rants and wanderings.

They are not going to be on Earwolf, but the iTunes RSS and Soundcloud will be the same. We'll have a new website too and will probably import the message board and threads -- though this will still be active if people prefer that.

Hey Guys...I know that we promised that we'd relaunch Shots Fired today, but it's taking more time than we though to get our ducks in a row and then neatly shoot them down. At any rate, we're taping episodes now and are planning for an official comeback on December 5. Thanks for your patience. We appreciate it.

Episode 51 — LIVE from A3C Atlanta w/ Pharoahe Monch
Passionweiss replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Shots Fired
I really appreciate that guys. Honestly, the format depends on the guest/ guests. Sometimes it makes sense to devote it to a city or scene. Sometimes it makes sense to goof off and talk about new music. Sometimes the straight interview just seems obvious. With a guy like Pharoahe, it didn't make sense to do anything but ask about him because he's Pharoahe. We're not really doing an official format change, but we'll be recording in the Cosmic Zoo, Nocando's studio from now on. There will be an announcement on the next show. -
There will be, but there will be changes that we'll be announcing soon.

Thanks guys. Will check that episode out.

I think that's a valid point. They're both in their early 30s and I think would completely acknowledge that pop music isn't made for them. That said, there's probably a litany of younger artists they could rattle off who they do like. I see both sides. I tend to like esoteric obscure rap and mainstream party stuff made by kids. There is stuff like Big Sean that I don't like, but I see it as more than I don't find him a very good rapper or musician. Not that it's not for me, per se. I mean, I do like "Guap," but it's because of the beat.

We didn't invent it, but is quite a source of pride. Good looking out.

Good shot being fired. Him and Marco Rubio manage to attempt to co-opt the music without any regard towards what makes it the way it is. It's like being a Jew for Jesus. By definition, you can't be both.

This needs to happen.

It just said R A G E. So lame. But yet he was so magical.
-
This is brilliant. Thank you.

Haha. No worries. I appreciate it and appreciate the criticism even if it doesn't seem like it. It helps us get better.

I would love to have Z-Ro on. Unfortunately, I don't think he's ever played LA or toured nationally, which makes him hard to have on.

I get that. I just have no room in my listening for stuff like that. I'm happy he makes people happy, but if I wanted to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show, I'd go there, y'know. I respect B a lot and admire him as a human being, but what an awful performance.
