I guess they're outside of Earwolf now? Let's give it a go, see if a restart means the quality will be back up again. On a sidenote, I'm not really feeling the Patreon thing.. ofcourse no one is forcing me to become a patron, but everyone and their brother is now asking for a monthly subscription, and it's starting to feel a bit like being needled to economical death.

Episode 17R - Pat Francis
qrter replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
Can we all agree that Pat Francis is one of the best NNF guests? Can we also agree that Elliot's thumb ring is infuriating? -
Episode 17R - Pat Francis

God, those Christmas cards make me uncomfortable.. clearly a lot of time has been spent on them, and yet they're still kind of awful! -
Episode 1717 - The Phone
qrter replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
Always love these guestless episodes. And I find it hilarious that Jimmy thinks Grey's Anatomy is for middle aged women, yet Nashville somehow isn't (and I don't watch either). -
Episode 1713 - Christy Stratton
qrter replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
Oh wow, this week's guest is a secretary from an '80s comedy! -
Episode 1712 - Wayne Federman

I love Garon dearly, he's essential to the greatness of NNF.. but he also seems to hardly know how to use Google.. Jotting down things on a piece of paper might just kill him. -
EPISODE 383 — Return to Suicide House Part Boo
qrter replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Yep, love Suicide House, but still find Paul Rust's creepies guy kind of self-indulgent and dull. It didn't help that all the other characters stopped saying anything and sort of disappeared. -
Episode 1709 - Phil Rosenthal
qrter replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
I kind of hate this eating-on-mic thing that NNF has adopted the last couple of months.. -
Episode 1708 - Jon Hamm
qrter replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
As far as I know, nobody from the NNF team reads these boards - better idea is to post it on NNF's Facebook page. Jimmy'll still not see it, but Matt or Elliot might. Jon Hamm is an NNF Hall-of-Famer, never disappoints. -
Episode 1705 - Eliza Skinner
qrter replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
One of the best new NNF guests in years. Utterly delightful. -
Victor and Tiny are the best. Willie is best never heard of again,

Episode 1704 - Larry Miller
qrter replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
I appreciate that Jimmy was having a hard time, but I really think that has nothing to do with it. it falls squarely on the nature of the guest and how familiar the NNF guys were with him. -
Episode 1704 - Larry Miller
qrter replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
Yeah, this is my least favourite flavour of NNF. The best Never Not Funny is a conversation, a give and take, the show really loses something when Jimmy is too referential towards a guest. This was just kind of dull. -
Episode 1703 - John Ross Bowie
qrter replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
Matt's "We'll high five about this later, John" was sublime. (That whole exchange is worth the video alone, btw.) -
I do get the distinct feeling that you haven't really asked listeners what they'd like to see in a paid service - I'm purely talking about how people like to listen to podcasts, not regarding new content. For example, it seems to me that there are quite a few people who'd still prefer to simply download an mp3 that they then can use on any device of their choosing, and that this is coming as a bit of a surprise to you.

Really, all of NNF..? I've only ever seen the first couple of seasons pop up on public torrent sites, and even then they tend to be badly seeded. (And I say that as a card carrying member of the Players Club myself! Well, actually, I don't have the card..)
-
It's credit card only, as far as I can see. I'd like a Paypal option too, as I don't want to get a credit card.
-
Yes, they tend to retract episodes that feature movies with friends in them - it's also why they supposedly won't feature any of their own less than favourable movies (for example, Bride Wars, which was co-written by June). It all seems a bit precious and silly to me, but then I don't have to meet these people face to face.

"Earwolf" ending audio tag / title card too loud!
qrter replied to boxofgeese's topic in General Earwolf
Same here - I HATE the audio tag, always have to rush to shut down my mp3 player. -
Episode 1701 - James Urbaniak
qrter replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
He was excellent. His Tom Cruise story was pretty much a perfect Never Not Funny anecdote. -

Clackers weren't for adults, they were a kids fad in the '70s. Then stories started appearing in tabloid papers (at least in the UK) that the balls were accidentally shattering, injuring children, and the fad quickly died off. -
I knew there had to be someone, somewhere, on the planet.. but it's still startling!

Ah bother. Sad news. Also, from PB's twitter, posted a couple of hours ago:

That's insane, ofcourse Kyle was wrong! He kept saying that the bear had left, but how would he know it wouldn't return? Or perhaps another bear entirely would show up? The whole "I didn't want to wake her up"-thing makes no sense, there was a frigging bear rummaging around earlier!

Completely agree with ratpack on disagreeing with David about Brion's Punch Drunk Love score. It's an incredible score, and mixed in exactly the right way.
