Episode 16 — The Water Box

"are you going to gag Blaine during that episode?" He's just a guy. He's not royalty. And I'm guessing he has some sense of humor about himself if he tattooed his D&D character name (ripped off from Tolkien) on his body. If the gang can't be the gang in the presence of Vin, what's the point?

Episode 16 — The Water Box

"Vin Diesel's publicist would never let him join Brian and Friends...ever. " He should fire his publicist then. Having Vin on a popular podcast just as the new F&F film comes out seems like a win/win. I'm not a fan of Vin's, so I don't care whether he's on it not for myself (though it seems to tickle Brian so I hope it works out). Any publicist who doesn't get the new social media and podcast popularity isn't worth their salary. But really, if he wants to play then he just should do it for the fun and screw publicity. #VinFearsSark

Episode 16 — The Water Box

This was one of my favorite episodes. Loved the suspence about the water box at first. "What's in the boooox?" I found the treasure dividing very funny and was thrilled they didn't edit it out. It was funny a great palate cleanser between the last fight and the one coming up. Screw Vin Diesel; I want Gerry back!

Episode 15 — As The Dust Settles

Re. using basic attacks instead of At Wills: Mildred uses basic attacks instead of At Wills because her 2 At Wills are Cleave, which she can only use when there are more than one adjacent targets and Tide of Iron, which requires a shield. Mildred had a shield when Sarah rolled her up but Sark took all their gear in Episode 1 for the first adventure hook. She uses Cleave when circumstances permit but cannot use Tide of Iron until they find a shield in the armory, etc.

Episode 14 — The Control Room

This was one of my favorite episodes. The group is starting to exert control over their situation and kick some ass!! RIP Karn. But someone had to botch and pull a Cloud City Skydive.

"Crazy shit that happened in old adventures" segment name

Flashback Theater? Post Draconic Stress Disorder? The Land Before Time X? "So then Gerry..."

Episode 11 — The Battle Continues

It's bad enough when rules lawyers ruin live D&D sessions like the Penny Arcade guys at PAX. And now they are sucking the fun out of this podcast. It's great that Sark and the gang are learning more 4e rules. But compare the speed and bang for your buck from the first half of the sessions to the last few. Also, they don't sound like they are having as much fun. It sounds like on the job training instead of a hobby. This is not to criticize Sark and the players. If they want to learn and incorporate more 4e rules into their podcast, I fully support them. But it is their podcast, so can the 4e rules committee dial it back a notch? Once they start talking about shifting squares and making opportunity attacks, the battle is lost... #TeamSpiritBear

Episode 10 — On The Catwalk

Can you Lawful Evil pricks complaining about the lack of strict 4e rules please go jerk it to some Starship Enterprise blueprints so Sark can get back to running a smooth, quick game befitting this group's play style? Thanks, -America

Episode 9 — Going In Recons Blazing

I have been listening to Penny Arcade WotC 4e podcasts. 9 episodes in. Go Jim Darkmagic!! It's much smoother than I thought and using grid moves things much more efficiently than stopping to reorient the players after a joke or interruption. I also have a much more concrete vision of the flow and cinema of the encounters. But those guys have a WotC game developer as their DM. I really would rather not have to listen to Sark stop their game to describe the rules on Opportunity Attacks, Standard Actions & Minor Actions, Flanking, etc. I agree with the sentiment above that Nerd Poker is an excellent D&D comedy podcast that happens to use 4e rules as oppose to a serious D&D 4e podcast. I would happily trade a bunch of game mechanics in this podcast for Blackie and El Ryan.

Episode 9 — Going In Recons Blazing

Re. Playing 4e "as intended", I'm not so sure the grid and miniature mechanics of the game would translate well to podcasting. It would be like listening to a game of Battletech, but with magic, on the radio. I'd prefer the group spend more time in the narrative and playing in character than for Sark to stop the story on a dime for a bunch of logistical stuff on paper. My 2 pennies.

    The Reincarnation of Gerry

I'm still partial to Ell Ryan's disembodied spirit bonding with his spirit bear, keeping his Shamanic abilities but incorporeal. Until the group can find another Elf Shaman to transmit Ell Ryan's consciousness into. It's a bit of a death cheat but could make for some amazing role playing. The Warforged is a cool idea as well. Would C be considered Warforged? Perhaps the Elder can channel Ell Ryan's disembodied spirit (Gerry did pass that check before his body died) into C'a mechanical body. But he would lose his shaman powers to balance it out.

Episode 7 — Follow the Whispers

Love this podcast! I have the fever to RPG again!! If Gerry and Sark are game, they should have Ell Ryan psychically link with his spirit bear in non-corporeal form since he passed that disembodied check at the end. Ell Ryan could then play with some of his shaman powers (Wrath of Winter) and the spirit bear psyche attacks. The group could then spend a campaign trying to find a replacement high elf shaman body for Ell Ryan to transmit his consciousness too. Just a thought. #TeamSpiritBear
