I really liked Farts and Pro 3 and look forward to the fourth, but I didn't vote for it. Two Thumbs and Not Much Else was by far my favorite PFT appearance this year and seemed to dominate the top ten lists in the AVClub comments, so I'm also surprised it didn't rank higher. Puppycats' guesses sound mostly accurate... except for Fieri Fight.

I really recommend the episodes with the Thrilling Adventure Hour and Superego guys.

I just started the episode and had to pause it to watch the grumpy cat video... I'm geeking out on it, mostly because of the obvious reasons, but also because the Animal Man volume I'm reading is in the background. I took a break to eat lunch and listen to this podcast and WHAM. "Plate of shrimp."

Belushi and Farley also died at 33.

I hope since this is the Christmas episode we get the special treat of hearing about the Birthday Boys season 2.

It may be a technical win but it's a win. I didn't think of him at first for the same reasons. I would not have guessed if not for the hint Earwolf dropped.

Maybe even best PODCAST day in general for me. Maybe it's in poor taste to hype podcasts not on Earwolf but Scott Aukerman is on BOTH the Thrilling Adventure Hour Christmas special (as are PFT and JHamm) and the live WTF (Jon Wurster and Kyle Dunnigan)!

I AM DOING THAT EXACT SAME THING. Also, I just won an Earwolf shirt for guessing the five most frequent guests. Between this episode, the Andy Daly preview, and that shirt... Maybe it's just me, but for me, this is the best Earwolf day ever.

I don't mind Harris missing this. I don't mean that to besmirch him. The Christmas lineups are dominated by fan favorites but always unpredictable. Keep it up!

I've bought the albums and listened to most of the Best Show Gems but haven't delved into the Best Show itself... any recommendations on where to start? Specific episodes or eras? I get kind of OCD when it comes to consuming pop culture and it's a daunting task for me...

This is maybe the most low key I've ever heard Brody on a podcast. Does the HBO version have a different edit or is it completely different material? I hope Brody is showing on CBB sometime REALLY soon.

I would buy a bobble head of the i4h logo. The only reason I never picked up a shirt was I really dislike yellow. Sorry! I did buy the sexy robot shirt two days ago. Adam McKay needs to come back more often.

There might be a couple of character references in each of Wurster's calls, but each one stands on its own as a singular comedy piece. This shouldn't be such a big deal to newcomers b/c the best parts of the show nowadays are Scharpling's interactions with the normal callers imo. As far as the host, Scharpling seemingly has an infinite knowledge of pop culture. I don't know 1/4 of the impressions he did in the youtube I provided, but the way he pulls that clip off is fantastic regardless. The show is really like a Phish jam- it could struggle for a while to get rolling, or never reach true heights, but when the show is firing on all cylinders there isn't anything like it. I'll try and dig up the Hippy Johnny call."
