Episode 117: 12:35 - 26:19 (Meaty, Meaty Hands titular)
Β
Lots of good suggestions so far! I wanna throw my particular support towards Penis Cheese, Animal People, and Paul Revere.
Β
Also, not to be a jerk, but the suggestions given from episodes 92 and 95 was already used in the best of volume 3.

Yeah, the last scene was from episode 92.
Β
I'm such an i4h nerd that I actually have a list of what episodes are excerpted in each best of.

So glad the Rasta Banana scene made the cut.
Β
Lots of VPN episodes, which makes me happy, as those are always amongst my favorites. I hope that comes back soon...

Best of Volume 3 had scenes from several episodes in the 90s, so I assumed Volume 4 might. Still in the process of listening!
-
EDIT: miss-read the episode limit. Still hope that the one I originally recommended makes Best Of 5.
Β
I have a few more ideas but I should listen to today's episode first to make sure they didn't already make the cut!

This made my day. No hyperbole.

Thats what I thought of too. What album is that on where Terry's doing a bit about how bad his hands hurt every night and he sounds like he's going to cry? Maybe one of the You Cant Do That On Stage Anymore albums?
Β
Β
It was originally from the Baby Snakes movie, but he inserted the clip as a lead in to the track Hands With a Hammer on YCDTOSA vol 3.

I'm really surprised Scott didn't reference Batman's son (and my favorite Robin) Damian Wayne.
-
I really hope Andy revisits Tommy Toothbrush at some point.
Β
If Dan was referencing Frank Zappa/Terry Bozzio during the hand model bit, then I tip my hat to him.
Β
And yes, it's been far too long since Will was on.

Is this coming back when Maron/CBB air again?
-
Does anyone know which PFT appearance had Howard utter the classic phrase "Book is fiction?" That should be on the best of!
-
Any chance you guys could do an REM podcast next?

Any Chicago area people who forgot to get a ticket for the improv4human and Asssscat shows this weekend? I have one extra for each and I will sell for face value. Posting on StubHub or Craigslist will make that impossible.
Β
I just don't want these to go to waste, I do NOT want to make a profit.

I've listened to every ep of this podcast. I have heard U2 on the radio over the many years, but never listened to any albums. I tried listening to Atchung Baby to like get into it more, but man, it's just so bland. I think maybe its an age thing. Does anyone under 30 here legitimately like U2 (I'm 28)?
Β
I'm not the hugest U2 fan but I don't think Atchung Baby is the place to start. Their 90s stuff is pretty dated, but I think they did a fair amount of good stuff in the 80s.

Tears Began to Fall is such an underrated song.

FANTASTIC episode.
Β
Incidentally, I'd love it if you had Mark Prindle on sometime. I actually sent him a link for this episode...
-
One of the few podcasts I've ever heard where the drunken people in the audience actually enhanced the experience (there's one or two Doug Loves Movies too).

I thought the two "MUSICAL GUESTS" were both great, as were the songs.
Β
I loved George Zimmer.
Β
I was pretty indifferent towards Russell Crowe, but I literally have not seen a movie with him since Gladiator premiered in theaters, so that may just be on me (especially since Adomian is my fav).
-
Nobody's pointing out that the 40 episode season order might be split across two years! I think that's pretty darn likely.

Re-listened to this episode today, having first heard it about 15 months ago. I was amazed that I remembered almost every single scene. Great start to the podcast!
-
Most of my favorites tend to be the live and VPN episodes... LOVED THIS.
-
I think that's the first time I've ever heard PFT make an ironically racially charged joke without being backed into a corner!
-
I didn't think anyone could top Andy Daly's Goodbye Sweetheart jokes, but dear me Sean Conroy's Mammographs joke near the end make me do a spit take.
Episode 128.5 β Best of improv4humans Vol. 4
in improv4humans with Matt Besser

If I remember correctly, Best of Vol 3 was 2 hours, but the last 20 minutes was the interview about Tom Petty's beard. Keep these Best Ofs lean and mean, just release 'em more frequently!
