good god, i feel like every week is a candidate for Best Episode Ever. the You're Doing it Wrong had be absolutely rolling with laughter, which is very rare because im normally very stoic and resigned so as to maintain my Quiet Badboy image. -

i've spent a lot of time trying to distance myself from him and make a name for myself but i guess its time to face facts. i'm never going to escape my fate as stephen stucker's illegitimate son. -

whoops, looks like i got some of your mail by accident today, andy -
you're probably right. i'm looking at it after having read the whole dog goned thing, but coming into it, it'd probably be a good buildup for everything else. not to mention that if you go full cheesy game show, that's a opening for some really cheesey jokes, which i think we all can agree are the best. also, i just want it to be known that i have a silky, smooth voice; the exact opposite of a mix between bobcat goldthwait & charles nelson reilly.

Episode 42 — Sinbad, Our Close Friend

hello friend. i hate to be "that guy" but most of these are actually characters in the "Rocky" series of movies & not guests of the Hollywood Handbook podcast. -
greggy's voice sounds exactly like a mix between bobcat goldthwait & charles nelson reilly, which is to say it's perfect.

i think that first round would be pretty funny initially, but the more i think about it the more i think that it kind of lessens the end. if the rounds go from: Normal Gameshow Prize --> Godhood --> A Guy Dying, it sorta cheapens to payoff at the end. you shoot so quick from "normal" to "god" that anything after that is a little disappointment. but when you go from just "god" to "a guy dying" it's so quick that it's really funny. i dont know if that really makes sense. i thought too much & now my head hurts maybe if there was one funny really quick question and wrong answer for a third guest in between the two, that might, maybe, possibly be funny. i dont know anymore

i definitely get that. i kind of thought thats where it was going until Tip's game went the exact opposite way. and now that i think about it, you're probably right. throwing in a guy just rolling the dice or getting interrogated just to get a basic prize would probably take up a bunch of time at the beginning and while it'd payoff later, would probably be pretty boring at the beginning. unless the show started in the middle and there was a quick throw away line like "so and so just won a blender" or whatever. but that might take away the whole premise of the show.
-
also, i thought it might be kind of funny if someone quickly won a set of like Cutco knives or something right before Jim won Godhood and the next guy died.

in my head i was reading Dick Tweeds voice as Chip Gardner, so maybe if Andy Daly isnt doing anything??

ahhhhh holy moly i like this a lot, greggy.

what a good eppie. mr. bad seems to really "get" the show, and that makes him more relatable to me and, by extension, makes me more apt to seek out his work in the future. so good job. i dont really have anything funny to say (what else is new!!!!!!!), other than to answer that blue tooth question by saying that in all the pictures he appears to have very nice and white teeth. -
i really liked the part where he finally got to eat the tuna noodle casserole & also the "no. my death did" line & also all the rest of it. i'm a huge fan of the kind of tv station idea or w/e because i cant think of anything i'd find funnier or more fun to write than an over blown 80s A-Team style action show with a bunch of dumbass jokes like in the comedy podcast mike detective.

joe wengert is very good and as far as muses go, hes only slightly below the 1999 mel brooks film, but leagues ahead of the band.

dear Mr. Bad, is it okay if I call you "Sin"? for example "hey guys, guess what, you all can suck it cause i'm friends with Sin (sinbad) now. he said my name on a podcast once and now i don't need no one else in my life" follow up question, both parts of your name are bad and scary (Sin & Bad.) whats the deal?? your friend, toby keith sweat -
Episode 40 — Aubrey Plaza, Our Close Friend
Toby Keith Sweat replied to agata's topic in Hollywood Handbook
no offense to any hollywood bigwigs who may listen to the show, but if i was a big friggin hollywood hotshot i can bet you dollars to cronuts that i'd be too friggin busy icing my groin from banging julia louis-dreyfus and murphy brown or whoever is the flavor of the month so much that i'd have no time to be spending listening to a podcast telling me how to kick butt and drop names in the red-carpet lined back hallways of this industry we call showbiz, something i would clearly already know how to do -

got a pretty big tip for all you scoop troopers out there. mrs plaza touched on it a bit, but not everyone can listen to the show with a notebook in hand, as much as we'd all like to. sometimes during a hectic day on the farm you have to squeeze it in whenever you can. maybe you listen to it on your lunch break, or while you're on that little elevator car going down into the coal mine, or you're out riding your horse on the open plains, herding your cattle. sometimes its just impossible to get out your officially licensed hollywood handbook-notebook to jot down your juicy scoops. here's where my tip comes in-- you can write your notes on just about anything. thats what big notebook and the legal pad lobbyists don't want you to know. for instance, i was driving my threshing machine back from the big city today when i heard some especially juicy scoops, so i reached for the closest thing i had to me; a receipt from the store i had just left. heres a picture for proof that im not fibbing here i hope my little tip can save some of my fellow troopers a little time! :) :)- 157 replies
