I don't know how many of you have seen this but I highly recommend checking it out. Besides a ludicrous plot and Sean Penn going "full retard", the director had no idea how to make a movie. With that many good actors, no matter how bad the script is, there's no excuse to have such poor performances. And while I'm not somebody who enjoys making fun of people with mental handicaps, there are a number of Penn moments that will have you, unintentionally, cracking up.

Based purely on the guest lineup, and length of the show, this might be the most excited I've been to listen to an episode.

EPISODE 52 - Jon Gabrus: Intern Gino Lambardo's Drive Time Radio Show
BagguhMcGuirk replied to JulyDiaz's topic in With Special Guest Lauren Lapkus
With out a doubt one of the best episodes yet. 52 episodes in and even with two characters that have been around for years still as funny, unique, and original as ever. Can't wait to see what's in store for year 2. By the way, I got the job! -
You can still download from the earwolf page, just press the download button next to "share" on the soundcloud player on the episode page.

Thanks! Wasn't working on chrome or Firefox and was regretting having already started my free month, works perfectly on dolphin though.

It won't play on my Android browser, just freezes up. Am I the only one?

EPISODE 364 β The Marm of Smarm Returns

Lauren Lapkus is the best. If you don't already listen to her podcast, With Special Guest. It's ridiculous how consistently hilarious her show is. -
Episode 1525 - Jon Hamm
BagguhMcGuirk replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
First time listening, thought I was the only one who didn't like Orange is the New Black. I've tried twice to get through the pilot and haven't been able to. If it wasn't for Lauren Lapkus i would've been a little upset at their SAG win as well. -
I love how long they made Patton go before Lauren was introduced.

It's amazing how excited I get every time I see Lauren Lapkus is on a podcast. -
Episode 327 β Bang! Bang! Into Your Mouth!

Don't know who she'll be playing but St. Clair is on the 4th season, so we've got that going for us, which is nice. -
Episode 327 β Bang! Bang! Into Your Mouth!

I'm sure it will still be great, but it's hard to imagine CBB TV without Reggie. -

Episode 324 β Golden Duchess Cruise Lines

It sounds like Traci Reardon might have stopped by around 58:45... -
A strong Adam Scott Aukerman connection. Why is the timing unfortunate?

I'm sure there are many Sandler movies on this list, and although I haven't seen Jack and Jill, I feel this should be the first Sandler movie done. I wish I could've been at that pitch meeting, "Adam Sandler is a man who always puts his job first, is given a remote that controls time, and while at first uses it to get work done by the end realizes family is more important" (Long pause) "That's brilliant! Any more ideas Awesom-o?" Thank god for Hollywood. By the way, how have they not done a Sandler movie yet?

Episode 307 β Ruthβs Ross Dress For Loss
BagguhMcGuirk replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
After all that talk about them last week I'm sure Scott must have been shocked to find out Tenacious D were gonna be on this week. I mean what are the odds? -
Could throw in Wompler/Listler too. Pretty impressive what the Chocktaw has done in a few years, maybe not invent a genre but certainly perfected it.

Wasn't there a "Jack & Jill" episode?
BagguhMcGuirk replied to dorrk's topic in How Did This Get Made?
I really can't see them ever doing any of the very deserving Adam Sandler "films" because of his comedy connections. Making fun of a movie I'm sure he actually thinks is good would not be the smartest move for a comedian in L.A. His releationship with Apatow alone would be reason enough for them to steer clear of his shitty movies. -
After last weeks not so great attempt at Would You Rather, I'm really glad they did it again this week. Also, the year is more than half over, and I can only think of 1 or 2 episodes that I didn't absolutely love. With the number of bonus episodes and also writing and filming the show, you guys have done an amazing job. Congratulations Chocktaw, having the funniest podcast and T.V. show airing at the same time can't be easy, but you make it seem like it is.

Episode 231 β This Is Not Me, This Is Them

I don't know how many people here use twitter, I only use it to follow my favorite comedians, but @Kumailn and @JoeMande are enough reason to check twitter everyday. -
Andy Daly on Who Charted and a previously recorded and just released episode of Kevin Pollack Chat Show featuring Mantzoukas, I smell a bro down coming.
-
I'm pretty sure you're right but I;m thinking maybe they released it now because there's an episode of him on CBB soon.

If it makes more than John Carter it will easily make back its production budget. Whether or not a movie is a "bust" is one thing, if it only makes 100 million more than its budget does that constitute a bust? I was just saying there's no way it would come close to not breaking even given Depp's international appeal and how well summer blockbusters do overseas with big name actors. Also, as long as it makes 3 million more than its budget, Jack The Giant Slayer would be a bigger bust.
-
I do hope it bombs though, not because I want anyone involved to fail but because maybe it would make Depp start choosing better roles again. It's so strange that for so long all he took were roles based on what the character was like or the story that was being told, all while not making a ton of money. And now that he could live off only the money he makes from the Pirate's movies for 10 lifetimes, he seems to only care about movies that can pay him 20 million+. Although even if this did bomb I don't think it would change how he picks roles now.
