Episode 148 - Andree Vermeulen, Our Close Friend
Nicolas Rage replied to agata's topic in Hollywood Handbook
I wish I could do the same but I've run out of You Made it Weird episodes! I'll just have to re-listen to the ones I haven't memorized yet -
Episode 147 - Julie Klausner, Back Again
Nicolas Rage replied to agata's topic in Hollywood Handbook
What! J, you clownin or are you saying Julie was actually pretty good? Because I think, for true she was basically straight up dope on this thing! -
Episode 140 - Sharon Horgan, Our Close Friend
Nicolas Rage replied to agata's topic in Hollywood Handbook
I love everything Sharon Horgan has made, especially Catastrophe and also obviously I love the boyz so this ep is like my comedy mum and my two comedy dads coming together for a big smooch, except I don't feel sort of vaguely uncomfortable about this and that I should maybe turn away, I feel GREAT! -
Episode 134 - Far East Movement, Our Favorite Band
Nicolas Rage replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Hollywood Handbook
Just get the train dude! It's a real nice journey. Outstanding views of Durham cathedral and the bit by Berwick upon Tweed is just lovely. The rest is a bit shit I guess tho. -
Episode 419 - The 7th Anniversary Show!
Nicolas Rage replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Me: oh, there's no women on this, interesting, Scott usually tries to have a good balance, ah well not a big deal I'll just go about my day as befo- Someone else: HEY FUCK OFF BRO! Me: that's a normal response and you aren't a weirdo! -
Episode 7 - The Cycle of Life
Nicolas Rage replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Beautiful Stories from Anonymous People
Today's caller certainly had a troubled past...but as far as I remember she didn't mention any depression or substance abuse or other problems that I would class as 'mentally ill'. Maybe we have a different definition of it. And I didn't get the impression Chris is portraying himself as a therapist? It's been pretty clear since the start that all this podcast is is just an honest conversation that lasts an hour or less. And I think anyone in an honest conversation, when presented with a problem that they can relate to might offer some advice. I of course have no expertise in this stuff, and it would be good if you could maybe elaborate a bit about why you think these conversations might be damaging. -
Episode 130 - Mike Lawrence, Our Close Friend
Nicolas Rage replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Hollywood Handbook
I always enjoy HH the most when the guest actively doesn't like (or pretends to not like) the show/ Sean and Hayes, and this was no exception. Dunno if that sounds like sarcasm but it is my genuine opinion. E.g. the Neil Casey ep is a modern classic. Having said all that, hey Mike Lawrence, lighten up ya goose!- 202 replies

Dude...is this really the time lol

Hey I sometimes feel that the 'never say anything bad about a guest ever!' policy is a little much, but Myshkina-Millenia was being a real dick. In answer to your homeschooled question, no I wasn't, but my mum (I am British lol) always told me to not be dick. I try to heed her advice wherever possible.

Episode 4 - The Most Amazing Destruction
Nicolas Rage replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Beautiful Stories from Anonymous People
If people start promoting themselves on the show then Gethard can just, you know, not post the episode, pretty simple. People surely understand it's not the place for plugs (this isn't a dig at you Julia, the plug part of this ep was natural and a great ending), and Gethard isn't going to invite them to lift the anonymity for anything less than an extraordinary story. Awesome episode, keep em coming baby! Oh yeah, and another thing I want to add is that it's really refreshing to hear interviews with people who aren't super successful, I think we just aren't exposed to in depth, real conversations with normal people enough, it's easy to exist in a bit of bubble, especially for a guy like me who's bad at small talk and isn't going to get anywhere near this level of emotional depth with most of the people I meet (and most people I meet are from a similar-ish background to me anyway.). It's a cool idea Gethard, and you're the ideal host probably. So yeah, keep it up y'all. -
EPISODE 119 — Friends, Our Close Friends
Nicolas Rage replied to agata's topic in Hollywood Handbook
Hey baby I'm no Hayesephile, I just like the boys being back together. The Sean solo eps were just as straight dope as the Hayes ones but were fundamentally lacking the full HH flavour we know and love. Baby! -
EPISODE 119 — Friends, Our Close Friends
Nicolas Rage replied to agata's topic in Hollywood Handbook
Had the same experience. Heart kinda sank when I saw it would be another solo one, but was a moment of genuine joy when Hayes came in. Also really funny how they did it! HH 4eva baby! -
I hate those narcissistic blogs that are open to the public.

EPISODE 100 — Aasif Mandvi, Our Big Get / Scott Ankerman, Our Business Rival
Nicolas Rage replied to agata's topic in Hollywood Handbook
I once got a tatoo that said 'Franklin Leonard of 'the Black List Table Reads' can suck on these' and an arrow, but they put the arrow in the wrong direction and it doesn't look like I want Franklin Leonard to suck on my ballbag, just kiss me, which is fine I guess. 100 EPS CONGRATS!- 188 replies

Since I started listening to RSS I prefer S + H out of character. Obviously HH is still solid gold though Good ep anyway well done everyone!
