  1. get out of my brain. Of course I like the new Dawes album. I love Wilco and also Tweedy, which is both literally and figuratively dad rock. I'm also liking the new Rhett Miller album with the Decemberists side project band (a dad-rock two-fer) I have listened to Tame Impala and didn't quite love it. Destroyer is too artsy. I don't know who Chelsea Wolfe is but bands need to stop having "wolf" in their names. Even if it is actually the person's last name. Jackson Browne and Warren Zevon are too deep into the dad rock genre for me. I'll get there. Update: I just listened to Chelsea Wolfe on Spotify. The verdict: WAYY too scary. What is this? music for draculas? No thanks!
  2. I don't know much rapsters. I'm mainly into dad-rock
  3. I'm waiting for A$AP Thunderlips/Wacky Flacky Flim Flam collabo album that was supposed to come out -- featuring Master Wayne, Methodist Man, The Syracuse Orangemen, Slippery Richard, KCRW-One, Chunk D, Big Daddy Krang, 15 Scents, and Kendrick Perkins
  4. I'm giving you a star just for the effort. I'll never listen to this.
  5. I FEEL LIKE YOU GUYS ARE SPEAKIN ANOTHER LANGUAGE. anyway, I like Dirty Lou and the Kangaroo Boys - GarageBand Basement Tapes
  6. Since everyone seemed to enjoy the New Jersey discussion yesterday, I've taken the liberty of compiling a list of Earwolf/UCB/Podcast type people who hail from the Garden State. I apologize in advance for the amount of real estate this post is going to take up on the forums. Andy Daly Jessica St. Clair Howard Kremer Michael Ian Black Michael Showalter Joe Wengert (citation needed) Tom Scharpling Marc Maron (sort of, but not really. He's the most new jersey person to ever come from new mexico so he makes the list) Zach Woods Kurt Braunohler Tyrion Lannister thats enough. I got bored.
  7. 1st ep and most recent ep of this season were great. 2-4 were a little weak, but these crazy networks force them into making 13 eps instead of the amount of eps it takes to tell the story. That's why Amazon and Netflix made a huge mistake
  8. Why? With Hannibal? More like Why are they canceling Hannibal? Right guys?
  9. I like my coffee like I like my women: on my desk, baby
  10. oh that's much better. well done. well done!
  11. I like my coffee like I like my women: 93 degrees (that converts to 200 degrees F for coffee, but I like my women to be 93 degrees F because I like dead women.) Did i do it?
  12. a few comments: If you were driving from Boston to NYC, and were in NJ, you went the wrong way Yes. It is nearly impossible to turn around on the NJ Turnpike, and if you do it will require you to pay the toll both ways Correct. You cannot pump your own gas in NJ. People from here take this as some sort of weird point of pride (they have bumper stickers and shit that says "Jersey Girls Don't Pump Their Own Gas"), but i hate it. It takes so much longer because you have one guy trying to deal with 6 pumps. It's the worst. If I lived closer to PA or NY, I would cross state lines to get gas every single time I needed it. There are some nice things about New Jersey, but overall, I would have to give it a big thumbs down 2 Stars this has been Scrutinizing the State's with Steve and his Stupendous Star Scale
  13. hey you guys - orphan yachts, tom scharpling and I are all from new jersey. isn't that like so funny and crazy? p.s. orphan yachts, your picture is terrifying to me
  14. POINTS! did you have this joke locked and loaded? and you signed up for the forums, created this username, incorporated yourself into the community, created a trusted persona for yourself over the period of a few weeks and then BAM! BIG JOKE!
  15. what if Natasha Leggero was a guest. Also, remember that episode with the thing about the fig? I barely remember what it was, but I just remember something about a fig and someone's weiner that was hilarious. Have a nice day!
  16. NORM! (The line reading on this is not how everyone at Cheers would say it bc they were happy to see Norm. It's more like the way Sean says "HAYES!" When he's shocked/disappointed with some thing Hayes just said)
  17. I've heard Scranton referred to as Entertainment Capital of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Lots of industry types out there
  18. it's actually good. and nice and funny and smart and NOT rude
  19. This was a fantastic ep. Even though like 5 people have already said it, it's always hilarious when the guest doesn't want to just go along with their schtick (not in a Pauly Shore way though...then again, that was also funny, but in a bad way. I dont know what to think anymore) TOP 5 5. Domnic Dierkes/ Nicole Byer (tie) 4. B.J. Novak/ Paul F. Tompkins again (tie) 3. Sinbad/Tom Scharpling (tie) 2. Kumail Nanjiani 1. Dave Thomas TOP 5 Under-rated eps 5. Sean and Hayes 4. Two Bday Boys 3. Zoe Jarman 2. Sean O'Connor 1. All the other ones WOAH look at that post number. what is the universe trying to tell me? Edit: Here's a bonus funny joke - My list is like a Brooks Brothers store with all those ties! It was supposed to be a top 5, but turned into a top 8. It's like it went from being Chris Rock to Tom the Myspace man!
  20. My D looks like George Harrison but he's not as good
  21. Eliza muffjob does your D look like a young chief of police guy from sons of anarchy?
  22. I start my fancy new job tomorrow. I hope they don't block EARWOLF.com. They did at my last job, which is why I left.
