You completely forgot to mention that fin rescues an entire bus full of children surrounded by sharks. An act which looks like it would have taken about an hour to do around bloodthirsty sharks. Yes it was his save the cat moment, but at the end of the day it was all a giant set up for the horrible punch line of "My Mom always said Hollywood would kill me."
