i can't express how much love and support i have for Harris. without going too much into it, i know what addiction is like and i am so glad that one of my favorite people in comedy made it through it. i also loved this episode.

Kulap:"so you just wrote 'boys'...and then you circled it" Howard:"that's right 'boys, club.' Stephanie:"just to make the point 'BOYS!'" I'm so glad Howard's back.

i think the worst part of Armen is that he tries to deny that he's just some overprivileged rich kid who has never had to work for anything. he basically is exactly his character in Burning Love. his dad was Michael Jackson's lawyer for fuck's sake. if you listen to the first episode he was on with Scott and Kulap he is reluctant to acknowledge his family, his father, and his staggering amount of privilege. the idea that he is going to be given free classes is just insulting to anyone who has ever had to pay for anything considering that he is never going to have to work a day in his life.

I know this podcast isn't exactly focusing on high level intellectual ideas but i was surprised that as a writer Paul was unfamiliar with the word "denouement."

what's the song they play when they first introduce Gillian?

Sarah seems disengaged throughout a lot of this show. she doesn't seem bored since she perks up whenever the music comes on but she just seems kind of bummed out and overall not that into it. i hope that her holiday blues weren't too bad. To me she seems to be one the sweetest, nicest, warmest people in comedy and i hate to think of a person like that being lonely. I still enjoyed the episode and i hope that she, all of the chartists and those at Earwolf had a happy holiday season.

The new series has at least most of the footage from the HBO version as well as some new stuff as far as i can tell. They air them in two episode increments which come out at about 40 minutes whereas if they had put two of the episodes together previously it would only have been 30 minutes. It's been awhile since i've watched the first run of the series so i can't put my finger on what's different but i think on the new ones in episode 4 people say at different times that Brody is 40 and that he is 44 so there's definitely new footage added.

Episode 154 β Glory Holeο»Ώ Jack-O-Lantern
FlyoverStates replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Who Charted?
I know the topic of just what Howie might be writing is pretty well trod territory at this point but seriously. What note could he possibly have been jotting down during the discussion of PokΓ©mon? I need for it to be "squirtle = turtle" -
i love that in the first two minutes of the show Frank laments Howard always calling him "dirt cup" and then Howard calls him that within a minute of coming through the door later in the episode.

That NME "creepy music" chart was so goofy. it was like some lame old guys hanging out talking about how they used to make real creepy music back in their day, how they saw that Aphex Twin video once, and synthesizers can make weird noises. they could have even stuck with some of the same artists and chosen different songs for a better list. get your shit together lame old guys at NME!

holy shit, shut up about video games.

Was this episode recorded awhile ago? Doug switched from "does anybody hunger for games" to "let the games begin" in his Bane voice some time ago. Obsessive nerds demand answers!
