Omission- the real Crocodile Dundee killed in shootout with cops

The scene in which LAPD officers draw their guns on a skunk-wielding Paul Hogan might have been influenced by the real-life inspiration for the Mick Dundee character, Australian barefoot bushman Rodney Ansell, who was shot dead by cops when he ambushed a police roadblock high on amphetamines. The most amazing thing is that this happened in 1999- presumably around the time that CD3 was being greenlit.
