"Get Out" is coming out over here on friday but they had a "secret screening" tonight at my local multiplex. it's a new thing where you buy a ticket for a soon to be released movie but they don't tell you what it is, they just tell you the genre and you find out what it is when they start playing it. I said i'd go cause i guessed it was Get Out and i wanted to see it ... anyway .. we were about 10 mins from the end when suddenly the movie paused and the lights came up .. then cinema staff started coming in and talking to someone in the 3rd row. it's never happened to me at a movie before and it felt like a very strange moment but as time went on it became clear that someone was having a medical problem (talking to the staff on the way out i think he's ok) now i'm not trying to belittle the poor guys problems or gossip but up until we (me and my sister) figured out what was going on we hadn't a clue and what made it a really strange experience was that, as it was happening, random people started getting up and leaving. first it was one person on my left. then front right. then far left .. and so on ... not saying anything, not looking at anyone, just started walking out. in the end about 20 people left ... now we kinda knew it was a medical thing but because of the weird vibe in the movie and the whole "secret screening" thing i started wondering if a trick was being played on us ... like as if one of those marketing things was happening ... looking back now i wish it was cause the guy looked like he had an epileptic fit or something and i think people left because they could see what was happening (i couldn't see from my vantage point) and they were upset by it or they just took the opportunity to take a leak (cause some of them came back) the end of the movie didn't matter after that and when everyone was leaving it was just silence .. has anyone else had a weird experience like that? my sister is easily spooked so she was freaked by way the people were just leaving ... a strange night .. hope he's ok

did ye see this? i think between us and all the photoshop efforts we've posted over the years we could fill the show ... it would be a crappy show but that would make it even funnier. a load of art fans wandering around their gallery wondering "what the f**k is this???"

Dino De Laurentiis ... some good, some not so good and some HDTGM movies too. i saw that when it came out and i couldn't figure out what all the fuss was about. i thought it was really dull, very predictable and way too long. it was just emily blunt crying for 2 hours. i kinda felt the same about gone girl though. they're well made and all but the predictablity of them is just really off putting for me.... i don't know what people who read the books get out of them.

I watched body parts last night and I really enjoyed the madness of it. It's pretty much crazy from start to finish. Can't wait for the ep cause I'd imagine it's going to be an hour of Jason making jerking off jokes

exactly.i used to watch all the trailers, all the review shows, read all the magazines but i found i was knowing way too much of movies before i even sat down to watch them. sometimes it's hard not to watch them though. i mean i watched the fast8 trailer without even thinking about it. i just had to see it. the power rangers trailer makes the movie look like alot of fun. there's going to be some serious training montages in that thing. but in saying that i always liked the transformers trailers and then the movies ... well lets say ... not so much. and it could easily have been for a transformers movie. it would be a pleasant surprise if it turned out to be good. and i really want ghost in the shell to be good and it looks great but i'm worried about it. it's got alot to live up to and there's alot of baggage with it now ... fingers crossed

just back from Logan .... it's worthy of all the praise ... it's bloody brilliant. wish i could say more than that but i'd risk spoiling it and that's not cool. i tried to stop watching trailers about a year or two ago and this is the first big one i didn't see a single frame of before sitting down to watch it and, other than a few obvious points, i had no clue what was going to happen and it just made the whole experience so much better ... so if you haven't seen a trailer or read any reviews then don't .. just go see it. it's amazing ... i'll shut up now. only problem is i had to sit through trailers for power rangers and ghost in a shell. i think in future i'm gonna have to stay outside till just before the movie starts .. or i could just close my eyes, stick my fingers in my ears and start singing "LA LA LA LA LA!!!" ..

My bad ... some of the movies over the last while have been hard to find (especially outside the US) so I thought it would help some people out. Didn't know you guys got grief over YouTube stuff. Won't happen again. Just for clarity .. does this go for other copyright-dodgy stuff on there too? E.g non-official clips & music vids, fan made stuff etc

i think you can see the logic ... the live shows get a months worth of HDTGM sorted in one night .. paul, june and jason are getting more and more tv/movie projects ... the family is getting bigger which means busy.... plus they started on stages making people laugh so its probably nice to get an opportunity to do that together whenever they can ... i really like the live shows so all's cool with me

and body parts is on netflix uk/ireland and chopping mall is on youtube .. yeah!!!! tip: probably watch chopping mall soon in case it gets taken down

the bit where everyone started surfing was because they had to get from one island to another island without getting shot but they couldn't use a boat because of a big reef or something which didn't really matter anyway because ernie sr had sunk their only boat. they're on the hill top and adam has a vision of surf boards so he asks if the locals are any good at wood carving to which kelly hu answers "some of the best in the world". the next shot is ernir jr giving everyone instructions on how to surf "bend your knees .. use your arms" .. so i'm guess no one has ever surfed before ... my question is ... why doesn't anyone, on an island full of trees and with some of the best wood carvers in the world, have some sort of canoe? i've been on a surf board twice in my life and both times i nearly killed myself but whenever i've been in a canoe i got to where i needed to go with no such issue .. ok maybe the trees aren't big enough to make canoes ... then make a few rafts and enough paddles for everyone.. way easier, they would still be on the surface of the water so no risk from the reef and Tone-Loc wouldn't be shunned by his friends when he gets back home .. it's win/win .. but i guess rafting ninjas doesn't sound as much fun as surf ninjas

i thought my favourite part of this episode was going to be nicole's reaction to ernie taking off his shirt but then rob became the jason of the group when he yelled at the guy who shouted out the wrong thing BUT THEN paul surprises everyone with the extra special guest ... i really enjoyed this episode .. Pwansu dudes!!!!

last one, sorry for dumping all these together but .. i think there's another movie in the surf ninjas universe. During the breakfast scene "Nick Nolte" asks Rob Schneider if his parents ever ask him where he is all the time as he always seems to be hanging around in his kitchen and Rob Schneider answers that his parents are sealed in a biosphere in Arizona ... so i'm thinking bio-dome is a prequel to surf ninjas and one of these fine gents in Rob Schneider dad ... but which one??

this is the first movie in a long time that i made notes on my phone. here's a few examples: - all these ninjas suck - did that cop just leave 2 kids in the custody of another kid dressed up as an old Scottish dude in a wheelchair??? - i love leslie nielsen. he's the only person i know who could make running for a telephone repeatedly funny - wonder if this was filmed in the same place as the phantom - where did kelly hu's character grow up cause she has an american accent - this movie is so damn slow!!! - can you still but the Surf Ninjas Game Gear game and the answer to that last question is yes and the answer to your next question is yes i did buy a copy of it and i sent it to paul's mailbag .... you're welcome paul edit: obviously you'll have to buy the console yourself ... that was a little more expensive

like i said in the mini rob schneider was 30 when this came out, ernie reyes jr was 21 and kelly hu was 25 ... i had to look that up early on in the movie just cause rob schneider looked so out of place but knowing these ages i still found the scene with kelly hu luring those 3 guys into the bushes and then saying "you'll find out on our wedding night" to be highly inappropriate for a 15 year old character in a kids movie. even if it was a 25 year old saying it.

I tried watching but crashed after Viola won her Oscar so I only just saw the announcement of best picture .. Warren's "I'm not reading it out face" as he gave the card to Faye ... I know it's a high pressure situation but ... should he have stopped the show .. he knew it was the wrong card ... am I being too harsh? I'm not blaming him for the error though. I feel sorry for the LA LA land team though but they handled it well, especially the guy (sorry, don't know his name) who stepped up and sorted it all out.

try this one in an earlier post i said the film would be better if it was played at 1.1x speed cause it was so slowly paced ... i guess you're about to find out if i was right cause whoever posted this increased the speed to try and get around the copyright checks. i am not watching it again to find out if it's any better at this speed

razzies last night and Hillary's America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party was the big winner. has anyone seen it. i remember seeing a trailer for it and i thought it was a joke but then i heard it was serious and it made it look even more ridiculous. is it worth a watch just for the awfulness.

he says something about finally graduating from the 11th grade but how old is an 11th grader? i mean kelly hu was 25 when it was made and Ernie Reyes Jr was 21 but at least they kinda looked like they were in their teens in tit (for a while anyway and then not so much) but Rob was in 90210 territory for actors being too old to play high school kids.
