i usually only give updates when we hit the full day marks but as it was brought up if you've listened to all the minis, if you were able to get through all the movies and listened to all the eps you've spent at total of 19.6 days of your life in the HDTGM universe .. https://docs.google....dit?usp=sharing but by looking at alot of the previous comments, alot of people are gonna have to subtract about 70 minutes from this total because of Gamer i really enjoyed this movie but i can see why so many people hate it. i think if i really thought about it i'd end up hating ... but as i watched it i had a whole lot of fun .... and when dexter started dancing ... the smile on my face was like that on a jack-o-lantern. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ulcPQya3z7o the whole thing was stupid and crazy and awful and insulting and terrible ... it was a perfect HDTGM movie... IMO.

i can see why people find the original Nosferatu cheesy and funny in places but i love it ... there were some genuinely creepy assed moments in it and it's use of shadows has been copied since (although i'm sure they were used on stage long before it came out). i've never seen herzogs remake but i have a copy somewhere. i've been watching some of his older interviews on youtube recently and ended up watching some of klaus kinski's interviews. wow i wish i could have been on one of their sets. and defoe in shadow of a vampire is hilarious. speaking of nightmare before christmas, last night i finally watched selcik's coraline. it's a dark movie! .. i loved it. i had a 3d version .. you know the old type with the blue/red cardboard glasses ... i haven't used them is years. and it worked too. the colours suffered but when it went 3d it was alot of fun. but it's an excellent movie with more than one nod to the nightmare before christmas. i don't have kids but i wonder how it would be received by them.

i really enjoyed it. alot of other people hated it though. it's not as much fun as the crank movies and it is sluggish in its second half but when it was good it was really good. there's one moment in it that i though was amazing. it was nuts

oh you've opened up a sack full of worms now ... this is an annual discussion round my way. The nightmare before christmas is a christmas movie right? i've never seen it as anything else even though the title, setting, characters and first 5 minutes are all halloween ... it never felt like a halloween movie to me. but when i google kids halloween movies it's the first result and usual when people bring it up it's as one of their favourite halloween movies ... i don't get it ... it really is one of my favourite movies and it's not christmas in my house until jack sings "what's this?" .... what do you guys class it as? note: yes i know it's way too early early to bring up the christmas season so i do apologise ...

i was talking about this the other day. i don't think i've rewatched a horror movie in years. i can watch most other types of movies more than once and still enjoy them (ask again in december and i will have a list the length of your arm of the christmas movies i watch every year) but not horrors. I mean i watch stuff like evil dead 1&2 every now and again, some hitchcock movies and the more kid-ish ones i watched when i was younger but nothing annually. Basically if it's on i'll watch it. But i love horror. It's fun to be scared by movies but once ive been scared by a movie the magic is gone. so this year i saved up all the horrer-esque tv shows. last week was the walking dead S6, bates motel S4 and a few horror movie docs on youtube (some good ones up there actually). This week goes like this ... hopefully ... les revenants S2 (half way thru it and it's as good as the first season so far), penny dreadful S2 & S3 and to finish it off at the weekend i am hoping to get around to re-watching IT ... which i can't remember anything about except for this moment ... oh yeah ... and earlier today i watched episode one of the walking dead season 7 and nearly shat myself ... it was unbelievably good. if the walking dead was released in the 80s as a movie it would have been banned .... we've come along way baby

Just finished it .... wow, there is no mistaking who made this nutjob of a movie ... and for a movie that gets so much hate I liked it alot. I mean it's got some major faults but it was fun to watch ... I'm really looking forward to the episode ... I've got you under my skin ....

im a little disappointed too ... first year since they started hdtgm we wont have a halloween ep ... they have lawnmower man in the can so maybe they could pull an auld switcheroo or something?? or is it too late? either way i'll probably watch lawnmower man this week. for the craic

i'd say one of these days one of my i'd says will be spot on ... not this time though .. 3 movies to choose from for the Halloween ep, i pick 2 and the 3rd one comes out. another example of why i don't bet anymore. back in my school days we used to bet on the grand national. the first year we did it my horse came in. the second year the horse fell, broke his leg and had to be destroyed. the third year exactly the same thing happened ... so i thought for the sake of horses everywhere i'd better stop betting and have never done so since ... i'd say if i did the lottery the presenter would end up falling out of a tree or something. listening to the trailer i think ive seen trailer ... or something very like it ... not the running man or hunger games but something with the same "you win the game you earn your freedom but not really" premise ... can't think of it edit: i think i'm thinking of the tournament

i'd say either lawnmower man or vampires kiss will be the halloween ep ... but my "i'd say"'s are usually completely wrong ... i'm still waiting for the howdies ...i'd say they are saving them for episode 150 ... lawnmower man, gamer, vampires kiss in some order and then the howdies ...

walking dead season 6 spoiler

in the scene where tom sizemore is shooting at morgan freeman in the helicopter he first shoots up with the massive automatic machine gun thing (i have no clue about guns) and misses with every blast of bullets but then he pulls out his handgun and shoots and i think he hits the fuel tank twice?, inches apart? ... i think that was the point i said to myself "that's ridiculous ... this movie is totally unbelievable" .. but up to that point i was all in

only got to see this last night and listen to the ep today because i've been catching up on season 6 of the walking dead (amazing btw) so this film was the second time in two days that i saw some poor dude nearly get his d##k bit off ... the pain the actors expressed in both instances illustrates to me that they too have switched over to button flies because of incredibly painful experiences when they were younger. or maybe they went method and used zippers on set?.. jason asked pretty much every question i asked myself when watching this nutter of a film ... and i love the fact that no-one was able to answer any of those questions ...
