suicide squad reviews are starting to drop ... some moderately positive ... some not so ... 3/5 seems to be the common consensus ... i really wanted BvS to be good but i really really wanted SS to be good ... DC seem to be dropping the ball this year but what do critics know ... right??

all depends on what paul says when the mini drops ... i was trying to work out the line up for the show. paul said the break will be about 2 months and the now hear this podcast festival is at the end of october. that would be a good way to come back after the break. so in my head this is how it looks: they have the phantom in the bag and probably 2 eps for the howdies so if they do sharknado 4 thats 4 epsodes left before the break. (mini .. sharknado 4 ... mini .. the phantom ... mini ... howdies part 1 ... howdies part 2). that takes us to early september. but i'm probably completely wrong so i just wasted everyones time. but thinking about it ... yeah i'll probably watch sharknado anyways ... mindless fun for a couple of hours

you can skip this ... i'm just purging my brain of this rubbish ... thats what i was thinking first but the fact that the guy he has dinner with, the cop, is his uncle ,,, would his uncle not notice that people are calling him a different name, that he was living a different life? so we are back to the mind powers thing again. he would have to use them to make people who knew him as kent to now know him as lamont and know his history. plus the cops family history would need to be changed ... oh wait .. wait .. he made the cop believe he was his nephew to get close to him, for information ... ah that crafty shadow ... but this is as pointless as khan wasting his powers by hiding a whole building. this was a massive building in new york ... he would have had to hypnotise everyone in the world incase someone who knew of the building visited/returned to new york. visitor - "oh thats a nice building" hypnotised person - "what building" v - "that one right there, the hotel monolith" hp - "there hasn't been a building there in years?" v - "its right there .. its huge ... look at it!!" hp - "theres no building there ... what are you on guy .. you been sampling that tibetin opium everyones talking about??" or if the illusions these guys create only worked on people within a certain distance of new york then any letters coming in, news articles, even peoples phone calls would have to be monitored and altered ... these guys are both massively inefficient when it comes to using their powers .. but i dont blame them .... do you know who i blame ... their teacher ... that tulku guy at the start ... this whole mess his his fault .. him and that knife he stole from eddie murphy

one more thing ... fresher pie mentioned the novelisation ... but has this been mentioned? from wikipedia: maybe this was going to be in one of the sequels but who is kent allard? if im reading this correctly ... in this movie the shadow and cranston are the same person ... but in the original material allard is actually the shadow. so was he the guy in tibet who then comes back to new york where he assumes the identity of cranston? but cranston is a real person, he has family? is allard using his powers to make himself look like cranston and then like the shadow? he's like one of those russian nesting dolls. and where did the original cranston go? or am i reading "identity he assumed" the worng way? i think i just went down a rabbit hole arseways .. carry on .. nothing to see here

nerd away ... i like that point about the superheroes .. but you can just make the shadows USP invalid by simply using a torch. instead of using his mind powers to make himself invisible why not just use them to get the bad guys to stop what theyre doing. ahh, i'm just over thinking this. and i just don't get spiderman. what exactly are his super powers ... strength, reflexes and spidersense? .. i just don't see what good these are to him in a field or something ... but i guess that could be said about alot of these characters. and what would a villian be if he just stood around in a field all day.... just a guy in a field ... i'm sorry, its late and i'm cranky, its been a long day .. time for bed. sorry for upsetting any spidey fans

i wouldn't be an expert in superheros or anything but from what ive seen, the shadow is one of the worst. basically all you need to catch him is a light source. thats a pretty massive weakness. its as bad as another hero im really bored of... spiderman ... all you have to do to defeat spiderman is to get him into a large open space ... now what are you gonna swing on peter??? other things that really annoyed me: he needs a taxi to get around he uses pneumatic tubes to communicate. so if you really need to get in contact with him you better be close to one of the tubes or youre shit outta luck. the whole set up just seemed massively inefficient. why didnt he just incorporate some sort of communications device into the rings he gave everyone? his transformation is pointless cause nobody can see him and even though someone was using the same method he used to make himself disappear to hide a giant hotel it took him 6 years to see it? and his mortal enemy is a knife??? i think if they ever made a sequel they would have just called it "the shadow 2" ... thats the kinda of laziness going on here

and another thing distracting me was that whenever someone said mongolians i thought of southpark

more useless information for you ... the production coordinator and her assistant put their names into the log that the doctor signed at the end of the movie theres also a chuck herrmann (property assistant) and a jeanie daniels (payroll) thats all i can figure out but there might be more. id guess this is a pretty common thing to do on sets. i know id do it at every opportunity. i hope they didn't use their real signatures

i spent alot of this movie admiring the sets and stuff. one of the things i noticed was this billboard i know theres a piano company called baldwin so the billboard is probably for them but when i saw it i thought "oh, a little nod to the star of the movie there". but basically thats what i did for most of the movie ... just looked at the background .. might explain alot of my own confusion
