i don't think tim curry committed suicide. the shadow killed him. i mean technically he killed himself but it was the shadow made him do it. after Daniel Baldwin throws him to the ground he tells him to "get outta my sight". so curry runs out of the room and then the shadow makes an exit sign appear on the window. so thinking it was an exit curry runs through it but ... nope ... crafty shadow.. b.t.w. the CGI for the exit sign makes me really question how much the studio interfered with this movie. i mean look at it ... they must have said "we really want an exit sign here cause people really need to get it! ... i don't care if its due out tomorrow ... just do it!!!" ... but i loved tim curry in this .. stole the show i think the studio sent alot of notes for this one because it made no sense. they took out stuff we really needed to see and left in things nobody wanted to watch ...

firstly congrats cameron! imagine the movies baby scheer and baby H are going to be watching in 20 years. fast and furious reboot ... lord of the rings reboot ... spiderman reboot^^44 ... i envy them secondly, i'd love to hear jason take over a mini just because i think it would be a whole episode of him going thru everyones name and telling us all to go f**k ourselfs or calling us jerks ... but i really dont want anyone else standing in for paul. i'd prefer no show at all. in my opinion he's the ringmaster .. i love jason and june but i don't see HDTGM without him. thirdly, i've mentioned Avaryl and Andrew's youtube show before, movie bitches. well they released their 100th episode today and it's hilarious. you should check it out. and finally, why the f**k didn't i buy that copy of the shadow when i saw it!

has anyone seen the new ghostbusters ... is it any good? i'm really hesitant to go see it cause i grew up a fan. i love those movies. even the second one. i still watch both of em every christmas .. have done since i was a kid ... i'm actually afraid to go see it cause i don't want to not like it. as for the cast ... i love the cast. kate and leslie are two of my favs on the current SNL team. kristen and melissa are gold. i mean if you wanted to put together a new ghostbusters team i really dont see a better one out there. i feel the same everytime they remake my fav old movies and the reboot thing is a problem for me too. i would have much preferred if they had, i dont know, had to buy the business of an old ray or if winston was leslie's characters uncle or something .. but that's just my love of the original talking. but, as i said, i have not seen it so these 2 cents aren't worth jack .. this might be one of those movies where, if they can keep the same team together, the sequel will be better than the original. they'll have a chance to create a completely new story. they wont have to reference a movie from 30 years ago to try and keep old fans happy. but i did just read that its struggling to get a release in china. thats huge. most of the big blockbuster movies these days need that market to make a quality profit. i love the reason why its not getting a release though. "who ya gonna call ... Super Power Dare-to-Die Team" anyways, i would really like an honest review of it. its very difficult to find one where the reviewer doesn't give their opinion on all the crap thats going on around this movie and then review it based on which ever side of that crap the stand. sidebar ... all the time i've been writing this i was thinking of gilly or melissa playing "guess that phrase"... one of my fav snl sketches of the last 10 years .. everytime i eat potatoes i say "pass ... the ... mash" .. and i'm from ireland so thats alot of hands in the air ..

i know it's only tuesday so it's abit early to move away from the movie but i had an idea when paul was going through the ads (which i liked in the one big block). one of the ads was for lootcrate. i know what lootcrate is but i didn't really have any idea what was in each box so i had a look. - wearable - t-shirt - comic book (or maybe a book or mag) - house hold item - utility - vinyl figure (or some type of toy) anyway, it got me thinking ... what if there was a lootcrate month based on HDTGM movies. so as a sidebar and if you've time try and pick some HDTGM movies and find some crappy items, t-shirts etc from their merchandise campaigns. make it cool stuff that someone would actually want or just crazy stuff. here's my effort. i tried to keep the value and size of each item down. i was trying to at least make it look kinda like a proper crate. - wearable ... spiderman 3 swim mask (can spiderman go underwater???) and a solarbabies badge - t-shirt ... i wanted a sean connery torso t-shirt but this is the closest i could find - comic book ... superman 3 movie adaptation - house hold item ... nic cage pillow case .. what else! - utility ... C3-PO tape dispenser that makes it look like the tape is coming out of his ... well you get the idea - vinyl figure ... vin diesel and his charger heres what it would look like:

the kiss was discussed by the team. i think taken on its own it's weird but ... maybe the writers were trying for something a little deeper here than it first appears. watch the GIF below. back in medieval times, the prince puts the necklace on Jessie, curse is set and he kisses her. then in modern times, Jason kisses Jessie and is then able to remove the necklace, breaking the curse. mmm??? .. actually no ... now that i think of it ... Jason had no clue of any of that so he was just kissing an inanimate object in the shape of a woman ... it's still makes him a weirdo ... i wonder if these movies are considered must see movies in the "real doll" world?

the hair on that mole was so thick and so long i think it should be classed as a wig ... i think it deserves a place in the HDTGM wig cannon

a couple of things about the curse. it's the sorcerer put it on. he curses the necklace to freeze Jessie forever so she can't marry the prince. the queen tell us this when she says "it's not me dear it's the work of spretzle". but then the prince challenges the queen by asking her to take his life instead so she says "all right since you're such a romantic .. 1000 years ORRRR she meets a true love from another land, only then can the cursed necklace be removed" ... so now the queen is in control of the curse?? and then the prince tries to take the necklace off but gets a shock or something and the queen asks "is it a deal?" to which the prince replies "yes, but you have cursed your kingdom for a thousand years!" .. and it starts raining ... so now he's able to curse the curse ... was everyone magical back then? and if so ... why do you need a sorcerer?? maybe that's why the curse didn't freeze hollywood for 1000 years. it wasn't the sorcerers curse that jason broke it was the queens. all the sorcerer did was curse the necklace so it would freeze anyone wearing it. it was the queen that did everything else. and thats why jessie was able to curse the count ... cause she also has some magical powers ... cause everyone from medieval times had magical powers!!! and as a bit of a correction, i don't think the count took her to america so he could be the love from a foreign land. the count says "she was to be mine tomorrow, ive spent years calculating the precise moment of her reanimation" ... so i think he kept this a secret from the current rulers ... dastardly count ... why else would they allow her to leave the country just as the curse was about to expire? the count kept it a secret so she would wake up, fall in love with the him and live happily ever after in Bermuda or wherever .. anyway ... thats just my 24 seconds worth of thought .. my brain hurts

gotta say .. i did not hate it ... the rotten tomatoes score is way too harsh. i'm no fan of this genre but the 90 mins went by pretty fast. doubt i'll have any C/O though .. it is what it is if you know what i mean ... i hope june is there again this week. and how cool would it be if they got Kristy Swanson on the show as a guest. she is on twitter so maybe someone reached out ..

and i saw the shadow in a shop last month for 2 euro!!! i should have bought it .. but the phantom is on netflix!!!! yeahhhh this should be fun i was in the same shop today, its a second hand entertainment shop (dvd, bluray, games etc) and i got spice world for 10 cents .. but with the embarrassment if felt like alot more ... dude behind the counter gave me one of those looks .. i gave him the "it's for my daughter ok!!!" look .. i dont have any kids it does bring my HDTGM dvd count up to 74 though, the collection is coming along nicely

hackers came out in 1995 but on this day 1994 a certain album came out that changed everything. it was the prodigy's music for the jilted generation. you know everyone has that one album that stays with them forever ... well, for me, this is it. and one of the best songs featured on the soundtrack for hackers .. i gotta say, watching this movie brought back some good times ... i was one of those joe blogs, xworkx stupid baggy jeans wearing fools but it was the music of the prodigy that got me into the scene in the first place. i know every older generation says this about the younger generations music but the EDM of today is shite compared to the likes of the prodigy, orbital, chemical brothers etc ... theres no anger in dance music anymore ... and the jilted generation came out at a time when it was needed .. if you lived over here (ireland/uk) back then im sure you know what im talking about ... ahhh im just being an old git ... enjoy
