How Did this Get Graphed?: The HDTGM Infographic Project

looks cool. i've been keeping track of a lot of these stats for the howdies. i take my figures from wikipedia and as with the previous discussion about the years, i have a few differences. mainly the most profitable and loss-making. i'm thinking these arise from where we get our data. according to wikipedia bloodsport cost around 2 million but took 65 million. which makes a profit of about 3150% (looking at some other figures sleepaway camp also has a profit of over 3000%) we have a lot of differences in the most loss-making though ... my notes have gooby at the worst costing 6.5 million and only taking 3234 ... but i'd imagine it's harder to get good numbers on such crap movies. the room is another almost 100% loss making movie but that is based on the initial box office. i'd imagine it's made alot more in recent times. i'm not going through the years again but just a quick look back at the discussion in the ladybugs thread we seem to be pretty much the same. our genres differ slightly. i take mine from imdb tags. here's my top five: action: 93 comedy: 67 sci-fi: 44 drama: 43 adventure: 43 crime: 37 i'm open to correction on all these though. again it's pretty much dependant on where you get your info v's where i get mine. i shoud really go back over everything because i fill in my sheets as the mini's air and info changes over time. i've been doing it since before howdies 1 so i'm sure i need a good update by now but time is against me these days. great site though. i have no idea how you did it but it looks way better than a spreadsheet. i'm not here as much anymore so i think it's time for someone new to take over anyway and if you can keep it updated they could use it for the next howdies ... i'll just keep mine for my own use. great work jima!

usually a withing a month of the show on social media facebook, twitter or on paul's instagram

    Trailer Talk

i only saw black panther this week. it deserved the hype. not your typical marvel movie. one of the stand out stars was letitia wright who played shuri. i looked her up and i'd be shocked if she's not on one of those "actors with biggest box office takings" lists at the end of the year ...

    When are the nest Howdies

considering how busy the three hosts are now and the amount of work that paul and the interns (shout out to marissa) put into them i wouldn't expect a howdies any time soon. there was about 60 episodes between howdies 1 and howdies 2 so going by that you're talking episode 210ish. and even if they used episode 200 for something you're still looking at 2019 ... and who knows what plans they have in store for the show in the future.

    Episode 183.5 - Minisode 183.5

Russell Crowe is selling off a shed load of movie related items in his "The Art of Divorce" sale. He is selling the purple suit from Virtuosity. It's a steal at around 2 grand! https://www.sothebys...u/list/AU0822/5 whip-round? edit: where did he put all this stuff? it's amazing?

    Episode 183 - Ladybugs: LIVE!

valerian doesn't count (if it's not on the list of episodes it's not on the spreadsheet). The 2017 movies are XXX3, Fast 8 & The Disaster Artist. I started reading the disaster artist at the weekend and so far it's hilarious. not sure if it would be as funny without hearing tommy's voice in my head as i read it though. greg captured him brilliantly.

    Episode 183 - Ladybugs: LIVE!

ah don't worry about it ... i'm not going back through mine either. gotta get that 1981 movie sorted though

    Episode 183 - Ladybugs: LIVE!

i've been saying this for about 2 years. i think paul has some sort of block on the year 1981. whenever i bring it up people always come back with caveman. it's on youtube. it looks horrible. my numbers are different to yours though. i guess this is the difference between wikipedia and imdb. i tried to take the USA release date as much as possible too. and no doubt i got a few wrong. but 1981 is definitely starting to trigger some OCD feelings in me.

    Episode 182.5 - Minisode 182.5

just a heads up if you haven't seen it yet. another "important announcement" from the powers that be ... all earwolf shows older than 6 months are going behind the wall starting March 31st ... can't say they didn't warn us this time ... so if you want to (re)listen to episodes, or download them for later, you know what to do. not sure what's going to happen with HDTGM and their re-releasing of old eps every 6 months though ... I'd imagine that will continue ... or at least I'd hope it would. paul will probably tell us this in the next mini anyway

    Episode 181.5 - Minisode 181.5

    Episode 181.5 - Minisode 181.5

i started to answer the question and then ended up going on a long rant that went nowhere and didn't come near to answering you but it took me too long at this late hour to delete so i'll just put it in a spoiler and you can read or skip it to answer your question properly ... i haven't bought any music in years. that's not how i consume music anymore. i mostly just use youtube. i'm actually struggling to find music i like anymore... and by that i mean new music.i always go back to the songs i've listened to forever but i think i'm just at an age/place in my life where the music being released just sounds terrible. never thought that would happen but there you go. not all of it but i can't seem to connect with alot of it. it's either empty, boring, i can't understand what they're saying or i understand exactly what they're saying and i dont give a s**t. these days i just keep clicking on videos on youtube till i find something i like and then see what else they've released. here's a few highlights from my latest finds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54fea7wuV6s this song and video blow me away. and check out "Virile" from the blaze too. another quality track and great video. edit: not sure why that video didn't load but it's well worth a click. just listen to it as loud as you can bear preferably through headphones... this whole concert is amazing but this does something to me every time i listen to it. especially the 2nd half. i'd never heard of woodkid before and now i just want to go see him live. i think i'm limited to 2 videos so here's a few other things: Hooverphonic Live The XX ... yeah i'm late to the party on that one and about a dozen random dance tracks ... i'm in abit of a mood lately so most of them are either very uplifting or aggressive ... fuel to the fire kinda thing

    Episode 181 - Freejack: LIVE!

this one is for paul or the interns .... this is most important ... especially if you suffer from any level of OCD ... i was updating the spreadsheet and it turns out that if the next mini is exactly 65 minutes long then the total runtime of minis+movies+episodes will be exactly 25 days (at least by my numbers) ... how cool would that be? https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1fNUxhVbJf9FOIHnE1yorJj383JS51T0cjF6XsaE8tA4/edit?usp=sharing unless i've got it wrong then ... never mind ...carry on

How to tag the HDTGM team when posting to soundcloud...

i haven't done it in a while. i just put HDTGM or How Did This Get Made in the title and description and i think there's an option to add tags. i then posted links to the team at their twitter. sometimes they see them. sometimes they don't. you could always email them. post them in here too and one of the interns might see them.
