    Ask Paul!

Groundhog day is coming up so I am listening to Stephen Tobolowsky on "I was there too". its the movie I've watched more than any other. at least once a year. but I always have some questions after watching it but i have been afraid to ask. maybe Paul is the man to answer them. hold on cause this could get messy: after the scene where Phil Conners jumps off the tower we see him on a morgue table with Rita and Larry standing over him. does this mean the world continues on as normal even though Phil starts another Groundhog day? or does the world continue until 6am and then reset? or are there 000's of worlds out there dealing with the repercussions of Phils actions during each Groundhog day and when Phil starts a new day, is a new world is created? does Phil just disappear from the worlds where he doesn't die during Groundhog day? does everyone just forget about him? or maybe there are now loads of phils out there thinking something else reset normal time??? does this make any sense?? typing out thoughts on time travel(ish) movies is never a good idea.

if you havent watched movies bitches on youtube then you're missing out, Avaryl and Andrew are hilarious and are spot on pretty much all the time. they deserve way more viewers / subscribers. i wouldnt even mind if they filled in for jason or june the next time they have to miss a studio episode https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNaNtF7f4kZrFyl7M4rDNcQ

Episode 128 - Streets of Fire: LIVE!

i posted this in the mini thread but for those who dont partake in those heres a great video someone put together with the best bits (well, most of the best bits) of the movie and the first song, nowhere fast. i think it makes the movie look amazing. so if you dont want to watch the movie or cant find it .... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yub3-Ow7tBs

Episode 128 - Streets of Fire: LIVE!

i only saw the warrirors for the first time last summer and i bloody loved it. it was part of the DLMChallenge. that same weekend i watched near dark for the first time (had a bit of an 80s cult movie weeked) and the great bill paxton was in it, this has nothing to do with streets of fire but bill paxton has one of those moments in near dark that steals the whole movie with one line. it was amazing. ill post it below but if you havent seen near dark dont watch it cause its a great moment that should be experienced as part of the whole movie.

Episode 128 - Streets of Fire: LIVE!

im gona disagree with the audience guy .. i think this was the sequel to the warriors. that's why Deborah Van Valkenburghs character was so worried about her brother. she had a "been there done that kind" attitude.

    Episode 127.5 - Minisode 127.5

had the opening number in my head all day after watching it last night. somebody on youtube decided to edit the movie down to 5:46 mins and use the song over it and you know what ... it looks awesome. if you dont want to sit thru the whole movie just watch this: not enough defoe though

    The Paul Scheer, movie list.

i know they at least discussed the ghostrider movies but im not sure they ever said they would cover them. late last year i said id try to build a dvd collection of just hdtgm movies so i always keep a look out for them in my local stores. i keep seeing ghostrider and picking it up and saying "oh great, another one for the collection." then i check the list and its not on there. and i mean every time i see the dvd. for some reason i keep thinking they have covered at least one of them. think ill just buy it the next time i see it. does this happen to anyone else? for ghostrider or any other film you thought they had covered but hadnt?

    Episode 127.5 - Minisode 127.5

just finished it. i didnt hate it. for some reason i loved the first 7 minutes of it (80s nostalgia i suppose). great energy. and really enjoyed it whenever willem defoe (the shithead) was on screen but the rest of it just made me wish i was watching the warriors again. gotta love deborah van valkenburg ...

    The Apple (1980)

huh? i wasn't expecting that. irish is a balls of a language but i hear if you can learn something like german you should have no problem with irish. i can speak neither so ... way to go irish education system of the 80's.

    The Apple (1980)

yeah, i use hola for hulus free content and netflix cause i can use my european login details but the trouble starts when i need to enter an american address or they look for credit card details to check my address. i'm sure there are ways around this too but it is all abit much. it'll pop up somewhere .. just need to keep looking. took me months to find dr moreau ... but it was worth the wait ...

    The Apple (1980)

cant seem to find the apple anywhere over here. its really frustrating when this happens. all the crappy movies out there and the ones they pick i seem to have trouble finding. i really dont like listening to the eps without seeing the movie first so i end up missing a few. hope they go back to doing some more recent movies soon ... or at least some movies that are more readily available to everyone

    razzie time

to be fair you could say the exact same about all the other award shows too. every year the same people getting the same noms for pretty much the same material. and theres too many award shows now. just speaking for myself, they've become pointless. just another form of advertising. but to instantly contradict myself ... how great is it to see mad max get so many nominations ... and a best picture nom to boot. i was disappointed straight outta compton and inside out didn't get best picture nominations though. or that wiz khalifa didn't get a best original song nod. would love to have seen some fast 7 scenes on the big night. so roll on february 28th ... at least for the on cinema at the cinema oscar night special! (if there is one .. haven't heard from gregg in awhile)

    razzie time

id say it could be dominated by cannon films.... hopefully ones that are easy to find ... streaming wise ... the apple anyone???
