  1. maybe the croc got so big because betty white was feeding it cows full of growth hormones. i mean she was probably an organic farmer at first but as the croc kept coming back for more and more feedings she couldnt keep up so she turned to chemicals to grow her cows faster .. i mean im not a cow scientist or anything ...im sure Werner Hertzog could have explained it better

  2. another hdtgm coincidence ... its Brendan gleesons birthday today, happy 60th Brendan

if you havent seen the guard you should give it a watch, very funny

himself, Domhnall and Brian were in a play up in Dublin back in January, meant to go see it but life got in the way. It was supposed to be brilliant. Theyre really establishing themselves as a great acting dynasty .. like the Sheen/Esteves clan

  3. just finished it. i actually had fun watching most of it and, as a side note, wow is bridget fonda beautiful.

i did feel it kinda fell flat once it got into the last 15 mins but there were parts i really enjoyed, especially when the great brendan gleeson and oliver platt went head to head.

anyways, i was just wondering if anyone watched any of the 3 sequels?

  4. But how do can we convey a shark smelling blood in the water? That's easy! Sharks have nostrils, don't they? We'll just record someone sniffing the air, as I am 100% certain that inhaling oxygen is how things are smelled underwater...

i was going to mention that but i just couldnt get my head around it. i honestly thought i was in a crazy deep blue haze or something when that shark sniffed. i even replayed it a few times to see and im still pretty sure that when saffron jumps into the water the shark stops breaking through the fence, pauses and then sniffs ... its like something from a cartoon when the old lady leaves a pie on the window sill and yogi bear or someone walks past ...

  5. Listening to the lastest episode I couldnt stop laughing at Jason telling people at home to go "straight f**k" themsleves and letting rip at audience members. These have just become some of my favourite Mantzoukas Moments. I am just wondering what other moments of Mantzoukas rage people loved from any of the eps.

  6. BTW, Samuel L Jackson finishing his commentary when his character gets killed off is one of the coolest things ive ever heard of. i just have an image of him commenting on the scene, then, without saying a word, taking off the headphones, walking out of the booth and straight out of the building, leaving the guys in the control room both bemused and in total awe

  7. were these sharks born with engineering degrees? i mean even if they had brains the size of bowling balls they would still have to learn stuff first before being able to create the plan they came up with in this. they seem to have knowledge in structural engineering, fluid mechanics etc that humans have to spend years learning ...

  8. I thought that Deep Blue See was going to be one of the live episodes.

yeah, theres 2 live eps in largo tonight (3/14) and another 2 at the start of april (4/4) which means we have 4 live eps to look forward to .. i love the energy from the live shows

edit: if anyone is in LA you should try to go see David O'Doherty in Largo .. hes a very funny stand-up (or maybe that should be sit-down) from over here in Ireland.

  9. forgive me for the length of this comment but there were 2 things that i just couldnt figure out but, after listening to this episode, i think they now make sense to me , i think ...

firstly, once it was revealed that the cop was her husband i really struggled with the time-line from when she stabbed him up to the point when she was on the bus, because when he was searching the buses he looked fine. no sign of any injury and no sign of blood. so i assumed at least a few days, if not weeks, had passed. because from all the blood on her hands, she stabbed him deep.

the second thing was why he looked so ragged once he arrived at the town. the man looked like an extra from the walking dead. i thought he was just going insane and this was the film makers way of visualising it.

but now, with the proper time-line in mind, im thinking if she had only stabbed him a few hours before going on the run then he must not have had any medical treatment on the wound and that he must have been bleeding all this time or got an infection or something? is that why he looked so shitty?

but writing this out i now have even more questions in my mind .. for instance, does this mean he hadnt told his boss/colleagues he had been stabbed?.. if not, how did he justify the manpower for the search of the bus station??? the other cops knew who they were searching for right? would it not have gotten around the station that he was chasing his wife?

my brain is starting to hurt again, i think i need to pull a June and forget everything about this stupid movie

  10. SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS

theres one scene where julianne hough is walking down a crowded sidewalk talking to cobie. so if cobie isnt actually there does that mean all the people around her just saw hough talking to herself?

or if cobie is somehow after regenerating to hang around with hough wouldnt that mean the people saw hough walking around with a dead cobie???

alright .. maybe this movie does deserve a HDTGM episode

on the plus side i thought the little girl did a great job in this. normally kid actors drive me crazy but she was very good
