Episode 43 - HGOT: Shadow of the Dragon Pt. I
Ike Willis replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Earwolf Presents
I have never watched Game of Thrones but enjoy Dan Carlin's Hardcore history. This Paraody is spot on perfect. The vocal delivery and inflections. The apologies for asides and unclear refrences. The pacing and excitment for the topic are hauntingly acurate. Extremely well done. I loved the first episode and if I watched Game of Thrones the rest of this would be a must. As it is I feel a bit of intellectual guilt enjoying a totally fictious history and will have to listen to some actual history from the original Mr Carlin as penance. If you are not familiar w/ Hardcore History Dan carlin's ten hour + history of Ghengis Kahn and the Mongels is breathtaking. -

Episode 32 - Aladdin with Gilbert Gottfried
Ike Willis replied to JulyDiaz's topic in I Was There Too
I could have listened to a whole hour of Gilbert doing the stroke bit. Actually I could listen to several hours of that. The man is pure funny. -
The fourth of Rudy Ray Moore's movies that started with Dolomite. All beautifully bad in their own right. The premise for this film is absolutely insane. Leroy and Skillet (Fred Sanfords buddies from Sanford and son) are opening a comedy club after borrowing $100k from a financial backer. They learn Petey Wheatstraw is coming to town the same week as their opening. And since they can't compete they ask him to postpone. He refuses. So they gun down him and all his peeps at a funeral. Over comedy club competition????? Petey makes a deal with the devil for revenge and then it just gets unbelievable. They blow up a pick up truck full of Watermelons at one point, just one of many scenes featuring watermelon. This shit is crazy bad. There are a lot of blaxploitation films that would be good for the show, but this one goes so far off the rails, yet still takes its self way to seriously, that it is the creme de la creme. Also, for the most part, keeping with the Dolomite tradition, most of what Petey says is in rhyme. Fucking Bonkers!!!!

EPISODE 213 — Dramatic Tornado
Ike Willis replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
Jesus Christ we have gotten lazy as a society." Pushing this button, or sliding the playbar takes so much effort and energy. I am going to need a nap after this. Oh well, fuck it, I just can't listen to this episode. " Seriously though, all music sucks. Why would anybody waste valuable TV watching time listening to it..... -
EPISODE 113 — Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze: LIVE!
Ike Willis replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Jeeze this was a horrible movie. I'm sure the episode will be great and make it worth it, but Jesus this movie was bad. The constant reaction shots of each individual turtle made it almost unwatchable for me. Take turtle one reaction, cut to turtle two, cut to turtle three, cut to turtle four. Some lame stuff happens or lame joke, take turtle one reaction, cut to turtle two, cut to turtle three, cut to turtle four. If I'd had to edit this film I am pretty sure it would have killed me. -
EPISODE 10 - The Student Lounge at A Performing Arts High School
Ike Willis replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
IMHO the best improve yet on the show. Nick Nolte was killing me. Matt Gourley, such a treat. Sure would like to hear Besser and Auckerman in the ranks on one of these. -

EPISODE 106 — Deep Blue Sea: LIVE!

Correction - During an "Avalanche" ice and snow moves at up to 186 MPH. Sam Jacksons statement is accurate. -
I wonder if no matter what choices they had made going through the tunnels that it was inevitable that Sark would turn them into Rats so they could maybe free the dwarfs and break the curse. I suspect it was the plan all along. Premeditated or not, quite a brilliant turn of events. I just wish there had been a drunk little Rat wearing a gauntlet and with a little rat leg made out of light.

Episode 7 — Zooropa
Ike Willis replied to JulyDiaz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
Even though they briefly mentioned the Ben Stiller show they did not reference his U2 sketches from the first and last episode. Bono doing the Jefferson theme with weezey and george is pretty entertaining and the lucky clovers video parody of one or what ever the lame U2 song was is fantastic. If you have not seen it, worth checking out. I believe Andy Dick was the bass player, odenkirk the drummer and a writer or something does the edge. Ruben from the Partridge family was their manager and Bono is complaining about the early days when he drove them around in the multi colored bus. Good stuff. -
Episode 006 — Shut Up and Have Fun with Danny Mahoney
Ike Willis replied to JulyDiaz's topic in The Andy Daly Podcast Pilot Project
The beauty of podcasting for me is that anything goes. In mainstream entertainment artists are so limited by "the fear" of not being PC or of being offensive that the art suffers dramatically. Of course there are exceptions like Stanhope, and also clean can be very funny. But as adults we should be able to say anything and listen to anything. If it offends you or you do not like it, do not listen to it. But Please do not prevent others who do enjoy it from having access to it just because you do not like it. I know this is very generic and an age old problem for a "free" society. But it is getting so much worse in this post 9/11 world. Thank Jehovah that podcasting and folks like Andy Daly are out there fighting the good fight. It is only words after all and words can never really hurt you. They can offend, but never really hurt. But fuck man, they sure can make you laugh and bring you a bunch of giddy joy before the shame sets in. That being said, if you had asked me a month ago, "which do you find funnier, jokes about misogyny and violence towards women or jokes with a viciously racist slant?" I would not have known how to answer. Now I know , thanks to Andy Daly, that for me it is the former, although it was close race. Growing up in the "racist" south, I am always amazed at how much more racist some people in the North East are than in any other part of the country. In the south we had the black / white thing, but jeeze the racists up there break people down into so many sub groups I haven't even heard of some of them. That kind of hate seems so exhausting. You have to do a DNA test to see if you hate someone or tolerate them. -
Episode 005 — Eye On Theatre with Don DiMello
Ike Willis replied to JulyDiaz's topic in The Andy Daly Podcast Pilot Project
Oh my fucking god!!! This was hands down one of the funniest things I have ever experienced in any media from any artist. I seriously think I could listen to Don's voice forever. Even before Jason came on this had me floored and it kept getting better. Amazing shit!!!!! This character needs to have a regular podcast , even if it is only monthly , or bi -monthly, or even quarterly. @Mr. Daly and crew, pure fucking genius. My only complaint, do not be afraid to go darker. Thank you so much for this. -
Episode 1 — From Boy to Under a Blood Red Sky
Ike Willis replied to JulyDiaz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
Sure the later albums have not been well received or remembered for the most part in the states, but as a live band they are still a huge powerhouse. They rival the stones with their ability to get people to pay $80 plus to stand with 50 to 80 thousand other people in a gargantuan stadium and watch the band from 100 yards out. Asses in seats is the hardest thing for a touring act to maintain and they are doing that with a vengeance. I have never been a fan, just not my thing, but total respect for their longevity and work ethic. I do hope one day Josh Homme kicks Bono's ass for using the Joshua Tree idea. I also hope the Eagles of Death Metal do an album called Pissin' on the Blarney Stone. -
If you go hang out in a safeway parking lot on A saturday night you should be able to pick up the dvd for $1 or so if you haggle. Sure it's illegal and immoral but this movie has Russel Crowe in it. He has never and will never be in a good movie. Plus ten bucks is ten bucks. That will almost buy you a meal here in O'bama's Bush cuntry.

I think the rival in scuba gear was attempting his own escape at the same time and was trying to kill JCVD to get him out of his way so he could get lifted to the plane.

Episode 002 — Hail Satan with Chip Gardner
Ike Willis replied to JulyDiaz's topic in The Andy Daly Podcast Pilot Project
Also, Chip fused Scott and Jason into the 30 headed monster at the end of CBB so they would not be availble to do the episode anyway. -
Such a shitty movie with so many great people in bit parts: Paul F Tompkins, Dwezil Zappa, Moon Unit Zappa, Ahmet Zappa, Jay and John from Mr show, the dude from Full Monty

I can understand how someone does not like a particular artist or their music. But who has the time and energy to waste on an emotional black hole like hate? How can you be so bothered by some old weirdo who kept to himself touring and writing music with a work ethic that has only been matched by the Gehngis Kahns of the world, yet was so far off the radar that unless you actively sought it out you would almost NEVER hear a note of his music? How does that prompt hate? There is this hermit that lives in the remote mountains of NC, and nobody ever sees him, but man I hate that mother fucker, and it is easy to do!!! "Add water it makes it's own sauce"

They also have Amarath's magical form fitting Sparklett armor that they could give to Damien. I think Sir Richard is just carrying it.

Sci Fi from 1980 Max Von Sydow as Ming is amazing, music by QUEEN and Timothy Dalton as the tree man. So enjoyable yet so terrible.

Love the show. What happened to the two hostages that were brought down the lift ? Also, Sir Richard and Bart still had an attack turn that was skipped before the collectors vanished. They might have been able to take out a few more.
