  1. Gonna post that post again but properly capitalize:

    Β

Funny, Sean didn't mention that I looked really handsome... Maybe He forgot?

    Β

I shook His hand but I was really nervous meeting Him. I did make full eye contact during the handshake (because I'm not a GD farmer and I know how to shake a hand) but I don't recall whether His was impressive or not. He's taller than I expected.

    Β

I also don't remember His smell. He was rolling around on a floor shouting so He probably didn't smell great but I didn't notice.

    Β

One of the bros asked Him how long he was in town. I got nervous because I was worried the bro was going to ask Sean to hang out, and I get empathetically nervous when people are too forward (plus if He's hanging out with any fans after the show it'd better be The Three Amigos, which is the nickname I just made up for the best friends group of me, Veebs, and Veegs. Joe is a member but unfortunately the name says "Three". This is a misnomer). Sean said He was heading back in the morning or whatever so the bro went away.

P.P.S. did he seem scared that three internet strangers were approaching him?

    Β

After the show we positioned ourselves in the aisle that the performers have to walk through to leave, so we forced it a little bit.

    Β

In our defense, he recognized us!

    Β

We were very nervous about being awkward, but Sean was cool and I think we had a good conversation.

    Β

Two separate other people (my memory of both of them is being slightly drunk and slightly bro-ey, but it was all a blur) came up while we were talking to say how much they like HH.

    Β

Afterwards me Veebs Joe (Veebs's Joe) and Anastasia talked on the sidewalk for a long time. Very cool people.

  4. I met Tim in person and he was cool and nice and fun.

    Β

It was a surprise. I walked into the theater to see a standup medley show with Pete Holmes, Jon Daly, and James Adomian plus a few more, and when I walked in Anastasia was there. It was like "what???".

It's funny because we were supposed to meet about 24 hours later (tonight), but it got spoiled.

She's super-cool and volunteers for Sketchfest. We told Jon Daly that he was funny together.

    Β

I forgot to bring my selfie stick so I didn't take a picture.

    Β

Tonight we're going to try to meet Sean.

  5. Could someone direct me to the RSS episode that has the clip of the guy who clearly doesn't know anything about basketball saying things like "double dribble" and thinking it's good? I can't find it.

Freja has historically been the one with the brain-cyclopedia of where every little bit happens.

I can tell you which eps it's not:

    I Have 30 Xompanies

    There is Ninjas

    Damn Girl

    Career in Public Relations

    Bro Down

    Β

Because I've listened to these ones recently and don't remember that segment coming up.

  6. On this same topic, do I sound like I is from the Alabama?

    Β

You sound like people I know from rural PA (west of Scranton, where my dad's family is from). Some of them have a *very* slight southern accent. I'd describe it more as "rural" than "southern". I find it enjoyable FWIW.

    Β

PS Lots of fun. Having the first hangout broadcast may have made some of us be more reserved (Andy didn't tell his secret story until the second Hangout), but it's definitely fun to be able to rewatch the funny parts and get embarrassed by some of my bad jokes. I can't decide whether it's better to broadcast or not. We could broadcast to a private video. Also the 10-person broadcast limit is a little bit annoying, however I think 11 people is sort of an effective limit (modulo lurkers and Chanson's bed).

    Β

All in all I had lots more fun than expected. Greggy or Burgy is probably my MVP for the night.

  7. I love Henry Phillips. Henry's Kitchen is great.

    Β

I saw Gary Gulman open for Louis CK in Boston. It was great. Gulman is v underrated in my opinion.

EDIT: On the talk of opener woes, I saw the Black Keys in Oakland back in November. Early on, when we bought tickets, St. Vincent was slated to open every show for them. I love St. Vincent. Like, so much. Turns out she was absent from a big chunk of the tour, including Oakland. I don't even remember who ended up opening :(
