    EPISODE 125 - Steel: LIVE!

Here's a random moment that demonstrates how little thought went into this movie and made me laugh quite a bit. The first night that Shaq is fighting crime in his new steel suit, he stands in the middle of the street as bad guys open fire on him and doesn't flinch. As the bullets bounce off him he even does the Dikembe Mutombo finger wag to taunt them. Later after using his magnet to take all the villains' guns, a few of them attack him with two-by-fours. At one point the man in a BULLETPROOF, STEEL SUIT dodges and jumps out of the way to avoid getting hit by a piece of wood.
  2. Wow, really disappointed by how off-topic, scatterbrained, and rambling Mr. Aukerman and Mr. Scott were. The many months since they've gotten together was quite apparent as I listened to this episode. It took well over an hour before they finally got down to brass tacks, addressed the recent monumental U2 news, and told us who the band members are. Given the podcast's hiatus and relatively volatile nature of the band's roster, they really should have opened with this information.

    Episode 76 — Fair Game

Long time HDTGM listener, first time poster. Billy Baldwin's character might have been the worst cop ever featured in a HDTGM movie. When you consider that list include Stallone in Stop or My Mom Will Shoot, Cage in the Wicker Man, and several others, that's a pretty lofty achievement. I know less about being a cop than June knows about tornadoes, but I'm pretty sure that if you have somebody who has been the target of multiple attacks you immediately try to figure out who could be behind it. The Baldwin way? Let's sleep on it and figure it out tomorrow. And I can't believe they didn't touch on the completely pointless handcuffing scene. After the highway chase scene, Crawford says how she wants to go alone and Baldwin handcuffs the two of them together so she won't run off. They steal a car and drive off and he mentions that he can't undo the handcuffs because the keys were on his key in the Wagoneer. Cut immediately to next scene with Baldwin breaking the handcuffs with a gunshot and Crawford running off and jumping on the train. WTF was the purpose of the handcuffs?
