    Star-goyle?

Dr. Who calls his TARDIS TARDIS. John Wayne had a dog named Dog in Big Jake. I think Stargoyle works fine.

Dungeons & Dragons, Editions & You

I played AD&D back in high school. That's where I got started. Moved on to 3rd edition in the Army & have progressed through 3.5, 4th, and now my friends and I all swear by Pathfinder.

    HoLY CaStErs!

I think the easiest route would be to switch to Pathfinder. The Wizard would be able to prepare spells, but leave a slot or two open as needed so that he couple memorize and prepare utility spells as need. He'd also gain abilities that dont take up spell slots, but that would be useful, depending on his specialty. The Cleric would gain more healing ability, but more importantly, he'd be able to burn readied spells in favor of an equally powerful healing spell, and he'd be able to Channel Energy. As Damien is a dark cleric, I think he'd be channeling negative energy (not that he already doesn't, *badoom, ching!*) but this would help him in combat against crowds, ect. The Paladin would have access to more healing ability, but even more than that, he'd be able to Smite Evil. The Pathfinder Paladin is the best I've seen, and the options open to everyone would really round out the party. That said, I think that once Blackie starts Scribing Scrolls, then he won't have to worry about re-learning spells, and if Damien makes that new staff magic, then he'll be able to store some spells in it, doubling his utility. Guys!! If your reading this, please Level up!! Blackie needs more spells and HP, and Sir Richard needs his Steed!

Is anyone else liking Damien more than Amarth?

    And Blackie Green.

Is anyone else liking Damien more than Amarth?

I personally think that Brian could play a quadriplegic bard and still be a fantastic character simply because he's got a lot of character to him. The guy's been a comic forever and has been playing D&D long enough to know how to flesh out a character, whether that character seems perfect at the onset or not. A good character is kind of an aspect of who you are, any way you slice it, so with this kind of tallent at the helm, I'm not worried for the show at all. I'll be listening until they decided not to put the podcast out any longer. And then I'll riot. That said, i loved Amarth, Damien is better, and Gerry's Sir Richard is my favorite.

    Other RPG's

Pathfinder. I'm loving Pathfinder. My friends and I have converted our 3rd, 4th and 3.5 campaigns to Pathfinder and have been having a blast of it. I've also played ShadowRun and White Wolf back in the day. I prefer DMing Pathfinder, though. It does a great job of balancing out the classes. Except the Bard. 4th edition had the best bard.

    Questions for Sark

Hey Sark. No question at the moment. I've been listening to the podcast for a few months now, and I'm so happy that the campaign is going so well! The Spelljamming travel has been a particularly nice touch as a refreshing nuance that adds unlimited variety and possibility to your game, and I definitely approve of the move from 4th edition. Also, I'm loving your villain. Raising the stakes by continually having the Necromancer perform both generayl and specifically dispicable acts has been really fun to listen to, and I think due to that, the inevitable confrontation between him and the party will only be that much more rewarding. Keep up the good work, man! You're an inspiration!
