Episode 190 - Hurricane Heist: LIVE!
IronMaiden4892 replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
I really thought the opening was setting up a twist where the robbers were the ones causing hurricanes so that they could rob places and the skull was their logo, like when the death eaters attack the quidditch world cup. Until I realized the guy with the drones was the grown up little brother, I thought he was releasing the drones that caused the storm. This is the most June I have ever felt! -
EPISODE 115 — Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!

For some reason I think Ian Ziering looks like Jesse Tyler Ferguson, so I just kept imaging Mitchell Pritchett from Modern Family as Finn. It really added another level to the movie for me. -
Episode 90 — Sharknado 2: The Second One

Amazing episode and crazy movie. Although the movie would have been 100 times better is the shark took of part of Tara's boob instead of here arm. -
So Gooby is pretty much the Kim Kardashian of the stuffed bear world? Kinda scary..... unless you're looking at its ass and it isn't talking.

Episode 88 — Mr. Nanny: LIVE!
IronMaiden4892 replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Great episode. Amazing job covering the seemingly endless amount of crazy in this movie. The one thing that bugged me was that this man is in possession of a micro chip that has changed missile defense technology, yet his only security is his ex-wrestler nanny and the fact that he carries it with him at all times.(in his pocket in a case like an engagement ring.) Shouldn't he have more security? He has a chief of security(who turns out to be a mole), but that guy doesn't seem to do anything, or be in charge of anyone. Wouldn't the government/military be involved in this? Also, the guy ripping the safe out of the wall, then tearing it open was fucking insane. -
First, They Came Together is amazing. Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd, Cobie Smulders, Bill Hader, Ellie Kemper, Ed Helms, and Jason, it is fantastic cast that did fantastic work. Second, Pink Floyd T-Shirt Wearing is my second favorite genre, behind the random sports scene genre. And finally, I can't believe i'm going to watch another damn Hulk Hogen movie.

Nice. Way to go that extra mile. -
Episode 87 — Easy Rider 2: The Ride Back

Great episode. And I completely agree with Jason. If you are going to kill someone to get revenge, or to avenge someone/something, you have to tell them who you are and why you are about to slice them up in a bathroom. -
Thanks Paul, it is a pretty awesome username! Ohh and thanks for the answer on "the League filming.

Episode 86 — Ernest Goes To Jail
IronMaiden4892 replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Yes it did include Africa. Although, it's been so long since i'v watched it that I wouldn't be able to tell you anything wacky or crazy about it.(I don't remember anything the Wikipedia plot summary wouldn't say.) The only ones I really remember, are Camp, Christmas, and Scared Stupid(The Halloween one). -
Episode 86 — Ernest Goes To Jail
IronMaiden4892 replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Much like Paul, I enjoyed Ernest goes to camp as a child, but never watched another Ernest movie, until I stumbled upon a DVD box-set of Ernest movies on Amazon.(Worst $20 I ever spent.) I have since seen all Ernest movies and sadly, excluding Goes to Camp, Ernest goes to jail is probably the best one. And just as CaO: No Ernest has no love interest in the other movies.(At least not as emphasized of called upon as in this movie) And Bobby's officer friend Chuck is also in the other Ernest movies.("Put the hammer down" is his catch phrase.) Jason, don't deny the Worrell charm. -
Wow, so this is going to be my first HDTGM experience, where I had watched and enjoyed the movie as a kid. Although, even as a kid I remember thinking that this movie is bonkers, but I loved Ernest, so I guess I overlooked all the absolute insanity of the movie. I'm excited to watch it again as an adult and really fully appreciate its ridiculousness.

This movie posits that Bruce Willis's dick is a cure for mental illnesses.

I thought it was strange that with all the Coke-a-cola product placeement, nobody in the movie is ever drinking a Coke. I would think that as an advertiser I would want JCVD or Rodman to be enjoying a Coke or in some way releating Coke to the viewer. Instead they showcase Coke products in absurd scenes where the product placement just looks so forced.

I thought it was strange that before Van Damme kicks the guy out of the cargo plain he asks the guy if he has a parachute. Presumably this is to show that Van Damme has some sort of moral compass. But even if the people do have parachutes, wouldn't they just land in lasers?

Corrections & Omissions: Mortal Kombat
IronMaiden4892 replied to riddler645's topic in How Did This Get Made?
Is there a way to qualify for this tournament, or do you just show up? Obviously Tsung tricks Johnny Cage into entering. But Liu Kang enters/shows up to avenge his brother. And in Sonya Blade's case, she just chases Kano onto the ship and simply shows up to this Island and randomly is in the competition. This competition is supposed to hold some world changing significance yet people that just seem to show up are a part of it!? -
One thing i didn't understand was that when Johnny Cage tells Shang Tsung that he wants to fight Goro, Tsung tells him that he will arrange it, but in return Tsung can now chose to fight a person whenever and where ever he wishes. Why the hell does Johnny agree to this? His whole reason for electing to fight Goro is to protect Sonya Blade, yet he grants Tsung the right to fight her himself on his terms. Also Johnny shows up to the island with 6 suitcases but only goes to the docks with one, which Lui throws into the water...
