  1. I remember hearing Paul say about one of the movies they did that he saw it as a kid and it was his first introduction to the idea that a movie could be bad. I couldn't really think of what my first "bad movie" was, but now I think TMNT 2 might have been it. I wasn't quite ready to declare that it sucked, but I remember coming away with the distinct impression that I was starting to outgrow this stuff. (I was 11, it took a couple more years)

  2. Some time ago on The County, the Sklars pondered whether the show had visited all 50 states yet. That got me wondering too, and since I've had time on my hands lately, I decided to sit down and make the definitive map of Sklarbro County to observe the geographical patterns. The map and the spreadsheet compiling everything can be found here:

    Some findings:

-Naturally, Florida has been home to the most County stories, 86 as of episode 133, making up almost 30% of the total. In a distant tie for second place with 13 is Texas. New York, California, and punching above its weight Oklahoma tie for third with 11.

-The epicenter of Sklarbro County is, without a doubt, the town of Port St. Lucie, with a whopping 6 County stories, 7 if you count one from the highway nearby. This is almost as many as the entire Chicago metro area.

-10 states have yet to host a County story, most shockingly among them Missouri.
