EPISODE 128 — Adam Sachs, Our Cool Bossfriend
Bozos of Basketball replied to agata's topic in Hollywood Handbook
Where I come from "5-4?" is something you text to someone that stands for "Wanna Fuck?" This makes me very scared and kinda disgusted thinking about what these "5-4 clothes" could be. If they're gonna make people respond with "yes" to my texts then I'm kinda into the clothes but then it should be called: 5-4 3 Clothing. -

Happy B-Day, Hayes! How many candles on the cake this year? Do you like to lick the candles when you pull them out of the cake? Or do you suck on them? Either way that's gross, sexually suggestive and especially inappropriate to do in front of your family.- 176 replies

Episode 126 - Julie Klausner Again, Our Close Friend
Bozos of Basketball replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Hollywood Handbook
I appreciate the guys always working in basketball and wrestling references to keep me as a listener. However, it should be pointed out that for a large majority of Mick Foley's time using the persona of Mankind he was actually a bad guy and would be a great foil to a good guy, not a great candidate for a good guy v. good guy battle. Mankind, for most of his run, was very scary actually and did rip out his hair in boiler rooms. I know what you're thinking. "Yes, but Hayes also mentions Mr. Socko, who was only used by Mankind during his time as a good guy." Great point. However, I would argue that while he may have still been using the name Mankind at that time, the actual persona he was using was much closer to the personality of just straight up Mick Foley, as he did occasionally wrestle for WWE under his real name. Other personas of Foley's included Dude Love (mostly good, short stint as a heel) and Cactus Jack (more of an anti-hero, potentially could have worked here), but I'm just not sure about Mankind. Thoughts?- 176 replies

EPISODE 120 — Brandon Gardner, Our Close Friend
Bozos of Basketball replied to agata's topic in Hollywood Handbook
Sean, you'll get a kick out of this. My sister got a bunch of fancy wines for me and my fiancee before our wedding. She labeled each of them saying we should open each one when a certain life event happens. For example: "Open when Bozos FINALLY makes the bed." This is the part you'll really like, Sean. On one of them, it says, "Open when the Red Sox win the Super Bowl thingy." I think this is funny in two big ways. One, the obvious, is like, she doesn't care about sports. She's acting like she doesn't even know what sports is really (because really it is just a game). BUT... It's also taking it super casual and being like, "really, who cares, drink it whenever you want. This thang aint official." Just thought you'd really like that, Sean.- 272 replies

Bozos of Basketball replied to agata's topic in Hollywood Handbook
This can be a question for the guest or even just you guys since I don't give af anymore. How come Monty Python never did a mashup movie The Meaning of Life of Brian? Do you think it's because there are two instances of the word "of" in the title? Because that does bother me and that's why I never saw Rise of the Planet of the Apes or Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.- 282 replies

Great hoops talk! Can't believe Steve Novak got snubbed from the all-time Knicks squad, though. Now THAT guy played the game the right way. Real heady guy. Always knew where to be. High basketball IQ. Gritty, pluggy guy. Not like some of these thugs... -
EPISODE 213 — Dramatic Tornado
Bozos of Basketball replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
My co-worker overheard me listening to this episode as we were both arriving at work yesterday. When I told her what i4h was all about she told me a story about how she got her and her boyfriend, "kicked out of an improv show in Boston" because they were sat up front and she, "couldn't stop talking." She said, "I wanted to keep talking to my boyfriend but forgot I wasn't supposed to, so they had to keep asking me to stop until finally they asked us to leave." I just love that she uses the word "couldn't", like she had no choice but to be horrifyingly disrespectful. -

I agree that Austin Powers remains relevant and to piggy-back on that thought I would go as far as to say it's even more "in the now" with the popularity of the spin-off series Fat Bastard Executioner.- 624 replies
