Episode 38 — Matt Gourley, Our Close Friend
Bozos of Basketball replied to agata's topic in Hollywood Handbook
MBoP, I'm sorry I haven't "liked" or commented on your HGT ep yet, but I just haven't read it. To be perfectly candid, almost all of my forum activity is done at my desk at work, and I don't think I can download it here. Although I have made friends with the IT guy (always make friends with the IT guy) so I doubt I'd get busted if I did. -

The cat (maybe one of ours that we posted) is out of the bag! I'm a BB (Boston Boy) since the day I was born. Dunkies (or Dunks) is p great but I'm actually more of a Honey Dew guy (whhaaaaaaaaaaat?!). My dad's dad lived in Maine and I look back on those visits fondly. New England is okay. And I think somebody posted about Tom Brady before and I wanted to respond but didn't because sometimes I just like reading OPP (other people's posts). He's sexy as hell, though. -

I guess it's time I live up to my name. I think everybody has been waiting on the edge of their chairs for me to post something boring about basketball on these forums. That incredible tee Tim's dad is wearing is from the 1992 Lithuanian Olympic hoops team. Their tale of plight and struggle that led them to be included in the Olympics that year, after previously being forced to play for team USSR, reached the Grateful Dead, who then decided to sponsor their team, including designing that logo for them and some funky uniforms. It's all covered in the recent documentary The Other Dream Team. Here's a pic of the guys. P.S. Kinda un-American for Tim's dad to be wearing that tee. What, does he hate Magic Johnson and Larry Bird and Michael Regular Jordan? -

Regarding the Glaive Confusion Event from late in the podcast... there seemed to be some confusion between The Glaive from Krull and a standard glaive from many other facets of fantasy. I was hiding in the studio and snapped this shot during the whole mess. -
Such a classic "obvious culprit and description written in sand graffiti letters on the bottom of the sea by the Spielberg family" bit at the end.

New mic for Mike? Michael Black sounds great!

If we start rating posters on how funny they are, just remember that not all laughs are out loud. Some of us work on a more subtle level.- 190 replies

What's YOUR idea for a good music/ band discussion podcast? Mine is...
Bozos of Basketball replied to Bernard_Shakey's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
I've posted these on other threads, but they really belong here. The Smashing Tompkins Rusht New one! Heidecker and Wood - Tim Heidecker and Davin Wood discuss the music of Heidecker and Wood. -

I think I'm too late but I always wanted to ask Sean O'Connor about comedy. Hayes and Sean, if you get a chance could you ask Sean O'Connor about comedy for me? These are my cats, Taker (left) and Rascal (right). Can you tell which one is the fat one? -

I might have to re-join Facebook just so I can get the forum jokes that originate there. That would also require you folks to accept my friend requests though, which is no guarantee. Too scary a thought. Gonna stay here on the sidelines. -

Give Engineer Cody Sam a break. Did he fuck up? Yes. Pretty badly, too. But we don't need to yell at him like those two mean ladies did. They were like Hugh Laurie yelling at one of his underlings on that show. -

WHERE WAS HAYES?! His arm must really be bothering him. I can't see any other reason why he'd be so quiet on the pod. I also wonder how he REALLY hurt his arm. Maybe from slapping his bicep too hard to impress ladies? -

I'm so lucky nobody had made that joke yet! Honestly, sometimes I get so deep into the "funny zone" I don't even think about if somebody had made the same joke. The only thing I could think while posting that question was "is this TOO funny?" It came down to that one or a Pee Wee's Playhouse joke but luckily Sean snap chatted me his material. -

That is definitely not not funny. And I don't see how it could ever, EVER be considered otherwise. -

I had to go to a defensive driving retraining today. Pretty lame. They made us feel guilty about how much money our tickets and accidents have cost us. Impossible to explain to other people there why I was laughing hysterically when the instructor was asking everyone what their deductible was. -

Matt... did the jerk kids in grade school call you Matt Girly? If so, which weapon did you use to beat their butts? JSC and Leno... Playing House... isn't that what Hugh Laurie does? Like, what do you do on the show? -

I'm not going to state my age until someone else states theirs and it's higher than mine. Oh, wait, just did MBOP math. I'm good to go. I'm 12. -

Real great stuff, Val. One note: Making out with Uncle Jesse at the end... would it have been more supportive of the LGBT:SD:SUV community to lock lips with Kim Gibbler?
