I live overseas now, and if there's one thing I miss about being in the US it's definitely my local CD shore.

Also, really cool to hear Twin Shadows on here. When I saw that in the description, I thought it was a coincidental character name. Boy was I wrong. Had no idea Scott-a-bot was so hip.

A couple of weeks ago when the Sklars were on CBB!, some folks over there were dumping on them, but I don't get it. I've always found them to be enjoyable and pretty likable dudes. Guess some people just want to drag the world down, man! Good episode.

I'd watch 24 if it had a troll back story.

Victor and Tony's Christmas appearance was my favorite episode of the year until the Andy Daly extravaganza, so it's only fitting they're the ones to follow such a momentous occasion.

Unrelated to this week's episode, but it pertains to the Weird Al episode. Looks like Scott called it: http://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2014/07/weird-al-gets-finally-first-no-1-album.html

Really liked the laid back tone of this episode, maybe because I live overseas, but everything flowed really well, even if ATZ did get the location of Petra incorrect and said going to Cuba was illegal (you can totally get there from a different country) . I'm curious what fascinates him about Kuala Lumpur. I go there a few times a year and absolutely love it.

I just... I just don't know what else to add. What a freakin' episode. "We've known each other since children," doing a limerick on the spot, not remembering Danny Mahoney, Clive Dundy not remembering his accent, Scott's baby cry, Don sounding confused and disappointed by being left holding a bleeding baby... I could go on and on, but I'll just give this one a cyber standing ovation. Andy Daly, you win 2014.

When I was growing up, I thought Brian Eno was Emo Phillips for years when I heard the name thanks to my love of UHF. I feel like my life just came full circle with the Brian Eno joke.

I don't get why folks like to give David a hard time. I imagine it's difficult to record this while waiting to see how the man child is going to derail something with a bit or try to steamroll the conversation with non-sequiturs.

Yeah I'm going to disagree with this for a few reasons. First off, can you really say Hot Dog, Bill Carter, Byron Denniston, Gil & Golly, Clive Dundee, Patrick McMahon, or Jack Fitzgerald are more disgusting or despicable? Dalton Wilcox and August Lindt? It seems like everyone who tries to make this argument points to Don DiMello, Danny Mahoney, and Chip Gardner. Secondly, I don't think it's the voice. I think it's the one trick pony of "be loud and aggressively offensive" that gets old quickly. We get it; that's his thing, and the more every character is the exact same in spite of the voices sounding different, the more mediocre it becomes. I just don't get the heaps of praise calling him a genius for doing almost every impersonation in the exact same delivery with more or less the same "shock" value. It just comes across as a shitty morning radio DJ to me now.

Episode 295 β I Turned It On For The Dog Penis

Maybe it's me, but I think Traci on an "off" day is still better than some guests on their best day after a long-break (looking at you, Sappity). -

I got backlogged on podcasts, and I saved CBB! from Monday for today thinking, "Surely there won't be a bonus episode for a third week in a row." What a foolish life I lead sometimes. Just an embarrassment of riches coming from Earwolf HQ. -
I would imagine after countless sessions of Kyle talking over people and trying to overpower everyone with his bits and now eating every week that I would be a bit drained, too. With that said, I feel like this past month/month and a half has been the strongest Professor Blastoff stretch in a while. And Colleen Smith is my new crush.
-
I wonder how Bill Carter feels about a new personal trainer coming onto his turf. Really enjoyed the episode... a nice palette cleanser from the wildness of Monday's show (not that it wasn't enjoyable in and of itself).

I wouldn't mind if, one day, H.R. Giger came across August Lindt and his traveling band of misfits. -
I listen to too many podcasts already, but if Tim Minchin started one, I wouldn't be against adding another one.

To each their own. I think her stand-up is pretty mediocre, and her shtick on Analyze Fish, Fogelnest Files, and CBB! was how she doesn't know things because she's young. I guess I just don't think it's funny because I've heard of things older than me. Some people think she's great, and I'm just not one of them. Just like some think Sanz is a god amongst mortals when featured, and others don't. I think we can all get along here in disagreement. Unless you don't think Tiny Cheeseburger Story is the best episode since last year's poll closed -

Fair enough. For me, I just don't get the appeal of Shelby and the "I don't know what that is because I'm young!" routine. I thought everyone else was good enough, but I guess she doesn't have much else in her arsenal because she's so young. But Sanz took it to a new level. Cocoa buuuuuttaaaahhh Regardless, I think the Ben Schwartz and Horatio Sanz episode has to be kind of near the top for me. Not my overall favorite CBB! of the year, but probably my favorite Sanz appearance, even though I liked how game Jim O'Heir was game for whatever. -

How a Horatio Sanz episode didn't make the Best of... last year is beyond me. I never really realized how funny the guy was until I started listening to CBB!, and boy do I feel sheepish. And he's killing it in 2014 so far. Heck, he was even able to save the train wreck that was Nubile Agape at the end of last year.
