Episode 1509 - Pete Holmes
DelinoDeshields replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Never Not Funny: The Jimmy Pardo Podcast
It's still sad The Pete Holmes Show was cancelled. I take it more as where TV is than where he is. Pete is Pete. What other dude who is more genuinely funny, open, and nice -- no-one else tells retail life histories or talks about things that actually happen rather than celebrity nonsense. It's sad fucking sad -- but also the best acute angle for podcasts. Plato's Dialogues were about people talking to each other and the first form of lit. Podcasts are much closer to that than TV. Pete is the best podcaster, and apparently that has to be his thing when he doesn't even need to win at it because he is already best at it. TV is dumb. -
Episode 314 — Y’all Heard Any of These Names Before?
DelinoDeshields replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Another episode that could've been a mess but turned out awesome. A boon. The always surprised laughing inventive give-and-take between Scott and PFT is the best thing. You guys are ridiculously good together. So much fun to listen to and thank you for taking the time. -
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Lapkus is the PFT of Lapkus PFT.

Will there be new seasons?
DelinoDeshields replied to johnnycanuck21's topic in The Andy Daly Podcast Pilot Project
Great to hear Gourley is up for more. Kind of him to refer deferential to Daly. If Daly really enjoyed it beyond the publicity etc., I imagine he'll reprise eventually. Knowing people loved the first season and enjoyed it so much helps I hope? -
Episode 154 — LIVE from LA Podfest 2014
DelinoDeshields replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
"The Josher" is hilarious and formidable. What improv kinda needs is a silly love-to-hate reoccurring villain. His flaw is not knowing what flavors/social media are. -

Episode 308 — Superego: Loose Beginnings, Tight Ends

Love that this episode turned some people on to Superego. Gourley is a genius and there's a great backlog of funny. -
Best CBB Episode of ALL TIME Tournament?
DelinoDeshields replied to CPiz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
Great idea, but impossible. Aren't all CBBs like children or candy corn? Can't pick favorites just eat them all. -
Engineer Cody Cody was the star of the show. I will stand by this statement until I have to leave.
-
"Butt Park" is a great name.
-
Justinmh05 documented it right. And... Oh man remember when there were only 6 episodes? What happenened to you Bob Saucerfan?

List of Scott's Frequently Repeated Phrases

Some of you guys are running off the wall. Let's limit it to things he's said thrice at least. -
Episode 151 — Joey Cape’s One Week Records

Are Case Closed(?) and Crap on Youtube your subjective favorite parts of the show? -
Episode 151 — Joey Cape’s One Week Records
DelinoDeshields replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
The reason why music episodes aren't beloved -- they take time away from pure improv. Improv fans just want more improv -- the music distracts from that without adding to it. This show is only once a week, and the only chance some of us get to enjoy improv. -
Thanks for making me laugh

It's a good, smart show. -
Episode 146 — Fleeces & Jesus with Chris Farren

but I'm okay with that every once in a while. It's not great but yeah. -

"It's been aaawhileee" will never not be a code, to sing it, whenever it comes up, till I'm dead.

PFT or no sale.

Maybe the the things I know about Kroll's personal history shade me. Listening to it again, I enjoyed it. The episode was great.

Episode 147 — Old Dread Ben

It will always amaze me how the best episodes get the least amount of comments. -
Not of fan of musical episodes, mostly due to the musicians
DelinoDeshields replied to MikeRiede's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
I think it's cool to see Besser doing different stuff. This is the thing. The music episodes are the worst to listen to, unless the two times they're good, but I can't grudge a guy for playing around with his own show. Straight improv must get repetitive. It can get boring. Music, especially the bands you love, is fun to Besser, and he's got super lease. -
Episode 152 — High-Pitched Cavemen
DelinoDeshields replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
Mary Sasson was maybe the best i4h virgin ever. Certainly helped by professional Huskey and Meadows, but she fit in smoothly. My vote for rookie of the year. Is rookie of the year a thing here or is that just sports -
Tough episode for Scott to host, but everyone was on their best game. Gemberling Robot needs a call back. Irish Girl needs a call back. Allison is a joy as himself -- been wondering what he's been up to since The State. Geniunely great guy. Great episode what could've been a disaster but surprised a classic CBB.

Episode 151 — Joey Cape’s One Week Records

Nope. The show is loved diehardedly, but there's a fair collective groan vs. music episodes. If all were as good as this one though....
