  1. Just came here to say that I'm very thankful and excited for this episode, but whoever put that scary soda noise right at the beginning is horrible and probably shouldn't be allowed to be an engineer any more.

It startled me and made me think there was someone in my house who wanted to hurt me and I couldn't relax until I reloaded the page and confirmed that the scary person was actually inside the episode. Now I'm too scared to listen.

There was no soda noise... that can only mean... THERE WAS SOMEONE IN YOUR HOUSE!!!!

  2. I have to be honest, I didn't know what to make of the Spontaneanation logo at first, but after looking at it closely I have realised there are some very specific reasons it was designed the way it was.

Let's check it out. Ordinary logo. Nothing to see here right?

But, wait, let's take a closer look...

    And a little closer...

There! There seems to be some writing there! Let's try and get just a little closer.

    What could it possibly mean?

  3. I was right with that woman who screamed 'WHAT?' halfway through the episode as I also had no idea what Jason and Paul were talking about.

Additionally no one mentioned John Malkovichs epic 'white stuff' insult which is just about the most absurd, random, insane and brutal put-down in cinema history.

  4. As I was listening to this episode this morning, the woman sitting next to me on the bus was so excited when I finally pulled the cord for my stop. Apparently, I appeared to be an "insane-o"??? (For the record, it was when Jason called the landing on the Strip "Las Vegas's 9/11" and then said that New York New York got the worst of it, and I both cackled aloud and slapped my thigh approvingly that she realized she had chosen the wrong seat...)

(Also, for those following along, I quit my job, and I found a new job where I hope to enjoy HDTGM whilst I enjoy my work! Hooray!)

I've never understood why people think it's weird for people to laugh in public, like only an insane person would express joy amongst strangers. I get this all the time as I'm always listening to podcasts whenever I'm travelling anywhere.

  5. MATT. BESSER. You can't just leave us hanging on that Hilary Clinton story! The whole conversation initiated by the word "whitewater" setting you off, and need to know why!

I think Besser was making fun of himself for going on a rant about Hillary Clinton with no provocation. The idea that the words white water would set him off when there is no connection was part of the joke. The sketch was meant to be about a guy who brings up politics in situations that have nothing to do with it and makes an ass out of himself.
