Musical Mondays Week 15 The Fantasticks (1995)

This Is Just to Say I have eaten the plums that were in the icebox and which you were probably saving for breakfast Forgive me they were delicious so sweet and so cold

Musical Mondays Week 15 The Fantasticks (1995)

He was also Macheath in The Threepenny Opera when it was an off-broadway production in the late 50s. I think his version of Mack the Knife is the best one.

    Episode 165.5 - Minisode 165.5

I was going to call and ask why you guys have a San Diego number. These are the calls you're missing!

    Episode 165.5 - Minisode 165.5

I would but I sound like a more nasally version of Jeff Goldblum.

We're through the looking glass, folks

Musical Mondays - Week 14 - Phantom of the Paradise

Discussing Pink Floyd on the internet is so 1990, you guys. Well, and every year since.

    Musical Mondays Off-Week 14 (EvRobert's Pick)

Since we're asking rhetorical questions about nineties pop stars: which Wahlberg would you least like to be stuck in an elevator with?

    Heart Condition (1990)

In what world would Bob Hoskins and Denzel Washington have the same girlfriend?

Episode 165 - Ninja Terminator: LIVE!

The continuity errors in this movie are so frequent, it would be interesting to count the number of scene transitions where they don't exist.

Episode 165 - Ninja Terminator: LIVE!

Migration to Stitcher has occurred. I actually liked the Howl interface (compared to Stitcher). Now it's much harder to scroll for archived episodes of my favorite podcasts.

Episode 165 - Ninja Terminator: LIVE!

I'm glad someone was able to catch the fruit ninja reference. Looks like Godfrey Ho is owed some iOS royalties.

    Rocky V (1990)

Tommy Morrison, may he rest in peace, was about as much an actor as he was a boxer.

    Episode 164.5 - Minisode 164.5

I hope there's someone who edits out "utilize" from Wiki articles.

    Episode 164.5 - Minisode 164.5

I have to admit, I wasn't a Reading Rainbow kid. Sadly, I loved Picture Pages.

Episode 164 - The Wraith: LIVE!

Probably "Halcyon/On" from Hackers. But that was a huge song that was famous in its own right. If we're talking about songs that figure prominently in the movies they were played in, probably "Same Song" in Nothing But Trouble. Featuring Tupac in his debut performance with Digital Underground.

    Hot to Trot (1988)

A fine suggestion. To catch it on the search engine, you need to enclose "Hot to Trot" in quotes. http://forum.earwolf.com/topic/5836-hot-to-trot/page__hl__%22hot+to+trot%22__fromsearch__1

    Episode 163.5 - Minisode 163.5

So, with Paul eliminating Southland Tales from contention, should we assume that North is off the table? It was a long time ago, but Reiner is still influential and Marc Maron was careful to avoid discussing the movie in their WTF interview a little while back.

Episode 164 - The Wraith: LIVE!

The production value in this movie was awful. It's hard to believe it cost even $2 million to make. Felt like a long, bad episode of Knight Rider.

Musical Mondays - Week 13 - That Thing You Do!

Southwest used to operate planes like that not all that long ago (~15 years, maybe). Only on short routes, however. They are horrible seats unless you have a party of four. Some trains still have that arrangement.

    Musical Mondays--Rotation and Sign Up

If you guys are looking for another, I think I got an idea or two.

    Episode 163.5 - Minisode 163.5

I know we're moving on from the Running Man, but did anyone notice that it was weird that Yaphet Kotto's character was named Laughlin? Also, the movie seemed to be hewing to this trope but technically Weiss died first (but only a hair).
