I recall a handful of episodes from that show, they were funny as hell. I didn't get to finish the series on account of cord cutting, but I'd like to revisit it some day. Since Ali G was one of my favorite comedy shows of all time (and the movies some of my biggest disappointments), Nathan For You is pretty much directed straight at me.

"C" referring to his girlfriend's ex as "another ex" is a tell.

Episode 175 - Ultraviolet: LIVE!

So, I haven't seen this movie guys. You scared me the hell away. Plus, I've been super busy lately. But let me ask, is the science in this movie super dumb? Like Red Planet dumb? -

I was subjected to the DARE program, not many PSAs though. I do remember Life Stories: Families in Crisis. Perhaps best known for Ben Affleck's performance as a steroid abuser (I don't think he killed that cat, although I recall being worried that he might). -

Impressive research, Ryan. I'm still crossing my fingers for Lou Gossett Jr., who immediately followed up his Oscar winning performance in "Officer and a Gentleman" with an unending stream of appearances in D-level schlock (Enemy Mine excepted).

Back when we lived in Seattle, my wife and I would occasionally frequent Tom Skerritt's bar/restaurant in the Pike Place Market. Nice bar, obviously great location. http://seattlealibi.com/

Man, it's 2PM EST and the Sticher Premium app still doesn't have the episode up. I'd note that the new eps are never ad-free (as promised) but that doesn't really bother me.

Lots, but the Rolling Stones probably top my list. A lot of classic rock superheroes land on the list, which is surprising to me. But sometimes music just doesn't register with me. Seems like you had to live through the times to "get" it.

Cameron, sounds like you're trying to tease out some guilty pleasures. Easy answer for me: Sublime.

I mean, Pixar movies. They are really a scam perpetrated by adults on children. And I'm thankful for that.

To be fair, "The Passenger" is a truly great song.

As for music, kids are pretty much a mirror to their parents until teenage years. Except that they take up a love for some of the weirdest stuff. I mean, my wife and I have subjected our kids to hundreds of different songs from different genres. But the one song that my son wants to listen to over and over is... Wimoweh by the Weavers. Specifically that version. "Mbube" or "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" don't do anything for him.

My son is not into Thomas -- never was. The most annoying show that he liked was probably Dinosaur Train or Clifford, but I'm sure there is another that I could come up with. He only gets to watch a little bit of television anyways.

Russell Crowe was obviously riffing on Jack Nicholson's Joker, right? -

Anytime anyone mentions inappropriate Peter Gabriel, my mind flashes to this: -
By the way, I am totally bummed that I will be in Boston ... the weekend before you guys are there. Come to Pittsburgh!

Has there ever been a HDTGM movie with two Oscar winners in it? I know Crowe hadn't won it yet, but I'm counting him anyways.

I don't have much to add this week, but I wanted to give June a shout out for the following exchange (paraphrasing): Paul: Being from New York City.. June: Paul grew up on Long Island, everyone.
