I didn't particularly enjoy the last 2 episodes but 2015 has been pretty great, IMO. I don't see a few lame episodes indicating a downturn of the show, for me they just stand out due to the relative high quality this year. I also think the bookings have been pretty cool even if some of them fall flat. Every year of CBB has off weeks, it happens. Having said all that, the dog thing... yeah...

Oh my god, I hate this naive, self important girl so much. The fucking nerve to think it's BOOKWORTHY to attend rehab because she drank wine in the evenings and got in one fight with her boyfriend is staggering. And a rehab facility putting someone on 18+ mgs of benzodiazepines is pure BS. Benzos are severely addictive and one of the few substances whose withdrawals can be fatal, and even high prescriptions are way less than 10mgs. Deplorable.

Ugh. Can the nauseating Internet-White-Knightery for a second. You know perfectly well what I mean. Quit being willfully obtuse.

While the campaign itself is shitty, you can't blame them for what gets traction and what doesn't. Any politically charged campaign will alienate half of their supporter base, so I can't blame them for keeping it up. If they didn't, then they lose most conservative users and contributors. My issue with them - and I may have misheard this via WC - is that users can keep the money even if they don't reach their goal. That's more egregious to me, honestly.

This was a great ep! Roy's Phish references were A+! Why is board so slow? I know sports fans love internet forums.

Oh man I didn't even get to the "UK rap" section before I posted. The most prevalent genre of Uk rap is called Grime and it's HUGE over there! Ugh. Did you even listen to the episode? Fuck off.

@StanSitwell, as a Kitty fan I would have loved to hear her take on the Top 40 charts, but at the same time putting her music at the forefront of the 'cast is a great way to expose her work to an entirely new audience so I dug it. Yes. Putting Nova on seemed like a favor to the manager guy (who would have been a more interesting guest solo anyway) but more than that her schtick was just unbearable. "I'm an upper-middle class white girl but I need to make sure people are aware of my past suicidal ideations (however fictional they might have been) because things can be hard for upper-middle class white girls, too. Boo hoo!"

THIS IS FUCKING AWESOME! I've been a huge fan since Okay Cupid, never thought she'd be on here. Way better than that obnoxious YouTube rapper girl they had on the show a few months ago. A+ booking!

I enjoyed that Crying track. I went to see Anamanaguchi one because I liked their Das Racist remix so much and figured it would be all chiptune, but man I did not expect so much pop-punk for their live show. The age demo also made my mid-20s friends and I feel ancient. That's what I get for not doing my research, I suppose. Also, laughed really hard at this Howard instant classic: "I've lapped you son."

EPISODE 1 - A Denny's Parking Lot
ShemRahBrohan replied to JulyDiaz's topic in SPONTANEANATION with Paul F. Tompkins
Awesome show. I'm not usually big on long-form improv unless it's rooted in the "reality" of CBB, but PFT has that Midas touch for me, and between him and the Superego it's growing on me. "I'd like to discuss a business term." "Like... macroeconomics?" -
Back in my day that combo was called hippie-flipping. Maybe the cookie thing is when it's bath salts/methylone instead of the real deal. /scumbaggery

EPISODE 223 β Chappie: The Oliver Twist Story
ShemRahBrohan replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Who Charted?
I'm not a big Kygo guy but he's huuuge in the US . It's funny how Howard is on the pulse of highschool rap but so far removed from highschool electronic productions. -
I know they address it, but can't they book sports-industry guests for Country? I guess I don't really know how their scheduling works, but I listen to the County specifically for the limited/lack of sports talk.

If there is any potential for a shirt featuring his name, or even one attributing this quote to him, I would be much more inclined to buy. Having said that, if an earwolf staffer tells me there is no chance of either scenario I'll gladly cop this since I love Harris and I'm also a gullible, impressionable consumer..

If you ever run across a depressed committee of Xbox specialists, it would be a perfect opportunity to console the console council.

EPISODE 338 β Be My Guest, Literally
ShemRahBrohan replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
"Are you involved with anyone romantically, are you not into that, or what is your deal?" "Uh, not into, it not my deal, not my interest area, no not exactly" "Not interested in romance ever? Okay you just have a lot of money and-" "I'm sorry, I mean 'YES, AND...'." Hilarious little moment- 191 replies

There are young bands out there making great music in every single niche imaginable right now. I can see how you'd get jaded listening to the Top 40 charts every week (hell, Whooch makes ME jaded sometimes and I listen to it voluntarily). I just think sweeping generalizations are never helpful. Even starting somewhere as basic and mainstream as Pitchfork will reveal there is still great rock/indie rock coming out every day. There's great dancey stuff coming out (Poliça, for example) as well as somber, smart stuff like Timber Timbre. There isn't enough time in the day to listen to all the great new music coming out.

I know i'm taking this slightly out of context but great one-liner when Howard says [paraphrase] "I feel like if it was good I would have already listened to it."

Kulap was of course missed this Twooch, but 'Stard and Howard just kicking it and BSing is always so awesome (and i'm not just ass-kissing because you read the forums, 'Stard >_< ).

Awesome episode. Loved the Little Buttonpuss ep of CBB and I was shocked to learn that was, in fact, the actor that played Bevers. I enjoyed him on the few eps I saw of Marry Me before I realized the show would not live up to my expectations of being more than a by-the-numbers primetime sitcom. Which is really a shame since the Marino/Wilson chemistry is incredible. Oh well, there i go rambling again.

For some reason I didn't think the premise of "helping people make it in Hollywood" was facetious. So stupid. These guys are brilliant. That's all goodbye

Just noticed you were from Ithaca! I'm from Rochester but live in Denver now. Hope everybody enjoys what a cool story that was!

Haha no worries man. If we Phish fans are anything- it's sensitive

All in good fun. Take a few deep breaths there, guy.

"I almost walked to my friend's house." It also killed me when he says "what part of Bowie is this? When he has a headache? When he's running errands?"
