I'm placing the blame squarely on the guest's shoulders. I like the seemingly unedited nature of the 'cast otherwise. Sorry people gave you shit. -

You're right, as a full-time student working nights and weekends I was totally asking for a movie I intended to see to be spoiled for me. -

So if something happens for the first time in 300+ hours of content I shouldn't be surprised? Something that is widely frowned upon, no less? Brilliant logic you have there. -

Nobody's never revealed a massive twist/surprise plotpoint on any episode I've listened to. Please feel free to direct me to another such instance. -

^if realness is movie spoilers and ear-piercing, forced laughter at one's own jokes- I will take a fake guest any day. -

I know he has a schtick to maintain but Pepitone's feigned shock that teenagers govern the Top 40 charts was irritating. Water is wet?! Funny ep otherwise. -
Howard's response to BBQ tofu and his Gallagher comment were both SO good. It took me a second to warm up to the guest but he was pleasant and knowledgeable without being overly fanboyish.

"You know. It might have been webMD" had me dying. Great ep. Except Ms. Dingleberry, a character suited ironically for MadTV.

Who do YOU want to be a guest on WHO CHARTED??

Vanessa Ragland! Seeing as how she has a pop-culture related podcast i think she'd have some great contributions. She's also thoughtful and hilarious and part of the UCB fam to boot! -

Listening to Howard hate on things is one of my favorite facets of the show, I'm surprised others don't feel the same way. -
Episode 203 β Who Charted at LA PODFEST!!!

This episode was awesome and made me feel lucky to be a Chahtist. They had great chemistry with a funny guest, 'Stard killed it, and it was almost heartwarming hearing the crowd response to Howard's jams and his subsequent gratitude. Hypnotizingchickens: my ears did a double take when I heard Celtic Frost, too. Howard's eclectic taste in music always surprises me (pleasantly). -
OH MY GOD, THANK YOU! He was a great guest otherwise but that piercing, forced cackle is terrible. I was wondering how he had a podcast but then I remembered You Made It Weird.

Why does Lyonne keep drifting in and out of that accent? Is it a bit whose explanation I missed? I don't understand! Great guest otherwise.

Am I the only one who found the first segment to be really cringeworthy? It felt like Dane Cook was trying to garner sympathy with the sob story about anxiety as a child, and the whole MSG conversation was uncomfortable on both sides. That said, it's cool to see Scott's interview chops in a more serious context and it's cool of Dave to go on a show whose fanbase may not think very highly of him.

I came in here to suggest this movie. It's the perfect whirlwind of facepalm-worthy, beautiful shittiness.

I thought this was great! Glad to see DVK doing his thing. My only complaint would be about the Hillary character. Unbearable. Maybe I just "didn't get" what she was going for but I cringed whenever she spoke.
-
What was the context of this? I listened to the episode but must have missed it. Overall I enjoyed this ep far more than I thought I would, but doubt I'll be tuning in to their show.
-
This was such an enjoyable episode, although I enjoyed her CBB appearance just as much. She oozes charisma and I hope to see a bunch more of her in the future.

Interesting. I'm new to these forums so I'm curious: is your opinion on Sanz a popular one around here? I don't watch SNL so I was only introduced to him through this podcast, but he's one of my favorite guests besides the obvious staples. Admittedly I'm probably one of the "silly 20-somethings" mentioned in your post, but did you listen to his previous appearance as Aaron Neville? I thought it was incredible. Not trying to call you out or anything - different strokes and all that - I'm just curious.

So you think BuzzFeed is a good publication and this rapper wasn't extremely unlikeable? If I wanted famous guests I'd probably be listening to Nerdist, just saying- these last 2 episodes were pretty weak IMHO. Should have just had Jensen.
-
A Buzzfeed list-compiler and a YouTube rapper? Are they at ends with whoever books guests? I'll be pretty bummed if their guest for #200 is the 3rd most popular Pinterest pinner.
