    EPISODE 7 - A UFC Weigh-In

Guests seemed very confused this week about the cut-to/flashback/flashforwards... They rallied, though. The second act of the improv especially was super funny. I hope Darla and Kevvie have a happy life together.

EPISODE 82 — Neil Casey, Our Close Friend

I put a secret HH reference in the second sentence of my Letterboxd review of Ryan Gosling's "Lost River": http://letterboxd.com/bwolo/film/lost-river/

Don't tell me the guy with the Mantzoukas avatar isn't Mantzoukas, I've been sending him all my "The Dictator" fanfiction

EPISODE 82 — Neil Casey, Our Close Friend

    My avatar is male!

EPISODE 82 — Neil Casey, Our Close Friend

I'm not sure why people on here seem to think I might be a woman but I guess I have to live with it since apparently women are comedy now, that's just the direction things seem to be going in

EPISODE 82 — Neil Casey, Our Close Friend

I didn't intend for this topic to take off as much as it did

EPISODE 82 — Neil Casey, Our Close Friend

Haha sorry - I live in Oak Park currently but the apartments I've looked at so far are in Wicker Park. I want to be somewhere west-ish to be in close proximity to where I work, so WP or Logan Square or thereabouts

EPISODE 82 — Neil Casey, Our Close Friend

Thanks... I have rented apartments before, but yeah, your logic is sound. I have a decent "buffer" in the bank, but I can't dip into that forever

EPISODE 82 — Neil Casey, Our Close Friend

I'm in the same boat, minus the dinner element. Forcing myself to move out because of the shame-albatross around my neck at all times

EPISODE 82 — Neil Casey, Our Close Friend

Chicago. There are cheaper apartments, but I can't seem to find one that doesn't have some dealbreaker-level problem.

EPISODE 82 — Neil Casey, Our Close Friend

I currently make less than 20k a year btw

EPISODE 82 — Neil Casey, Our Close Friend

I'm apartment-hunting now so that's why I asked, thanks for the replies. Wondering if I can justify paying $800 + utils for a big-ass room in a duplex with a couple of Craigslist dudes in a sweet 'hood

EPISODE 82 — Neil Casey, Our Close Friend

Rando question for you all: how much do you pay in rent?

It's possible she wasn't quite getting it but I think all parties managed to parlay that into a basic but effective "straight man" situation, where she was just a wall of normality for Hayes and Sean's weirdness to run into head-on. But it tends to be funnier when the "straight man" guest is actively hostile like Pally or, as we saw this week, Neil Casey
  15. Hearing the Spontaneanation theme music makes me feel like I'm entering a warm, worry-free cocoon where nothing bad can happen. I usually listen to it first on Mondays before I get to CBB now. The monsters on this forum who find it "boring" are truly dead inside, and hopefully soon dead outside (when I murder them)
  16. As soon as Lauren went in the direction of being exasperated with the host, this turned into a classic. They milked that dynamic for all it was worth. LL was really "on" in this ep.
  17. Did anyone see this? Gave me Handbook vibes http://www.theonion.com/articles/i-only-like-movies-where-the-whole-cast-dances-in,38502/
  18. Earwolfman Jack lacked the tragic dimension of Verbatim Vic, who is incapable of doing the very thing upon which his entire identity depends
  19. My ploy to stir up controversy last week in order to get noticed by Hayes and Sean so I could get the pro version seems to have failed. Now some other guy is jacking my shit this week and trying to get noticed by taking offense at a bit as a shortcut to pro glory. Sorry guy, you're wasting your time.
  20. Is Mimby Kaling have a show on Comedy Center? Or is her show still on Forks?
  21. I think Verbatim Vic might be the boys' ticket to CBB, finally. They needed to develop a really classic character and now they got it.
  22. On a less controversial note I will say I'm really impressed by the range of Jon Gabrus's references. Starlee Kine, Voltaire, Jim Jones, and Thundercats. That's a pretty well-rounded bunch
  23. Definitely a fair point
  24. Sorry to interrupt all the thrilling and important business that goes on in this podcast fan forum
