Episode 101.5 — Minisode 101.5
CleverUsername replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
So excited for Tango and Cash! Paul missed a great opportunity for most favorite punctuation mark: the interrobang (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interrobang). It is my favorite, should replace the question mark at the end of the title, and should also immediately become everyone else's favorite punctuation mark. -
Forgive me if they brought this up and I just missed it, but I would have loved to hear them talk about the fact that when the mother was looking for the chicken, she checked the microwave. Twice. Two times. The microwave. Because we have all accidentally misplaced a chicken in the microwave, right? Which only reminded me of this: Also, I suppose audience questions such as these are what happens when Jason isn't around to put the audience in their place.

Episode 97 — Rhinestone: LIVE!
CleverUsername replied to JulyDiaz's topic in How Did This Get Made?
I feel like Matt had a real "clowns in vans" moment with the mice fucking on cotton. I tried to look up more information about this movie, but the best thing I could find was that one of the "trivia" bits on IMDB is "The film's title 'Rhinestone' rhymed with the last name of star Sylvester Stallone." Kind of changes your whole perspective on the movie. This was a hard one. I had the worst secondhand embarrassment during any scene where Stallone sings, so much so I pretty much had to cover my eyes and ears. I don't think I've ever cringed this much during anything. -
I loved having everyone there for the Q&A's! Also glad that Paul got the word out about clam biology. For anyone who has seen it: is Rhinestone worth the money to rent? I typically only watch the movies if they are on Netflix, but we do love Stallone in our house... Also, used to be CleverUsername, but it turned out that someone else already had that name! Not too clever after all I guess.

This was absolutely perfect. One very important correction: Jason at one point is talking about clams, and says something about them being the happiest single valved organisms on the planet. WRONG. Clams are bivalves. They specifically are known for having two valves. Get your act together, guys. This kind of misinformation can be dangerous. In his defense, though, they are super happy.

But how did they get it across the ocean?

I am also obsessed with the choice to film multiple close-up shots of unshaven lady-thighs during the sexy sex scene. I really hope this is brought up.

I cannot wait for this to come out. This was my first time seeing this movie. Typically I have a short attention span for *good* movies, and I was planning on having this in the background while I worked on other things. I was totally hooked by the nude calisthenics within the first five minutes. When the credits rolled, I turned to Mr. Clever and said "I think... I really liked that movie." Mr. Clever: "Okay, June." Also, as soon as there was conflict between him and the girlfriend right after he got paralyzed, I said "Can't she just sit on his face or something?" Totally nailed it. ALSO, there must have been some synergy in naming the characters the similar-sounding "Allan" and "Ella", right? This movie is deep, you guys.
