  1. Typical me being hours behind everyone, but I too have an HH intro:

    So I was talking to Jimmy...Gandolfini,and he was telling me about this upcoming show of his on some box office, probably residential, and he tells me that he's going to do an ARABIAN accent for this Jersey mobster, so I say, "HELLO, why not do a Jersey accent?!" Jimmy then gives me a bear hug, if you could call it that, because this was when he was then. He thought you had to gain 150 pounds for a Jersey accent.

    As much as I love John Oliver, I don't watch his show because I can just read/listen to/watch the news and make my own funny opinions without needing to hear someone else's cynical-masquerading-as-satirical views on it. Although, I'm sure Seattle deserved the burn... Because I'm annoyed by Seattle right now. Truth.

    Is there a hangout tonight?

    Well I can just ask all of my famous people friends for insider tips to the biz but I still listen to Hollywood Handbook.

  3. Yo, Valerie, you want a depressing story? Well, alright.

    It was a dark and stormy night in October 2013. I had a friend over, a female friend, you see? Yea, you see. Well, anyhow, we was watching some movie. Well, the movie was on but we weren't watching, if you catch me drift. Eventually we get to snuggling pretty hard and move things over to the room with the bed in it. After a while something strange happens and I am no longer able to snuggle. This was strange as I had snuggled probably three whole times by this point so I fancied myself a bit of an expert. I turn to the female and say, "I swear, that's never happened to me before!"

    Scary but true.

  4. Lots of new posters it seems. To claim your one free like from me, please post any of the following:
    • a photo of your D;
    • a photo of your dog/cat;
    • a photo of yourself in junior high;
    • a short sitcom script starring forum members

    I will award you one (1) like, redeemable only on a post meeting any of the above conditions.

    I don't generally give out likes, so this is a big opportunity for you. Don't waste it.

    Really?

  5. This series started off strong with Public Domain and has been mainly good if a little spotty with the subsequent eps, but this one was just so great. I'm a relatively new listener to HH (Hollywood Handbook abbreviated to two letters to save space) and I've been a big fan of Lapkus for some time, so when I saw the title in my podcast app I was stoked to listen and it didn't disappoint. Lapkus is an utter delight, sharp witted and playful, while Clements and Davenport are a pair of real funny fuckers. Mucho kudos to all involved.

    great job with brevity

  6. This forum will be razed to the ground in no time.

    This eppy had me shaking my Groot Shoot with laughter! Can't wait for my order of BIG BAGS to arrive!

    And yea, super-hyper niche podcast perfection. It was like Teenz Talkin' TCGS but with a smear of Traci Reardon at the end like a horny cherry on top! TOOGOOD

    Also the HH guys have very listenable voices and now I am more curious about the content of their podcast considering how easy it might be to listen to it. Hope they have more bed-sharing and/or bad-meat stories on Handbook.

    There's a podcast where pubescents discuss The Chris Gethard Show?

    To be fair, I have heard precisely those criticisms levied at all three of them from people more qualified to say so than myself. Not saying I agree. Particularly because I own the complete library of Orwell's published works and it would be weird to spend a bunch of money buying all of someone's books just so you can call them lazy and not smart (But if someone were going to do that it would be me, so I guess that doesn't really prove anything.)

    I think we should just leave the crazies ("normal people" if this forum were real life and not the fantasy dream land made of gumdrops and positivity that we all know it to be) alone and have their extreme negativity speak for itself. We can just continue down the road of positivity leading us through the cotton candy forest to the promised land (Utah). The Book of Mormon is based on the popular board game Candy Land, right? I don't do well with metaphors.

    You're right, Chanson. I totally forgot about Trey Parker and Matt Stone.

    I have heard people hate on Orwell but it's always vague. I think people just hate that he created two of literature's most important works while being a big proponent of socialism.
