This movie isn't really horrible as much as it is really Japanese. By that, I mean it has all of the lovely over-acted scenes that they are famous for with tons of unrelenting violence. Basically, the premise of the movie is that a group of children are selected every year to fight to the death in a "battle royale." The OG Hunger Games, if you will. The reason for this is that the economy in Japan has tanked and groups of students are protesting and boycotting their classes. Because of this, the government enacts the Battle Royale Act. Every year 42 students from the freshman class are abducted and forced to fight to the death within the three day limit, or they all die. It is a fantastically violent movie with some very creative deaths throughout. Give it a watch if you think you can handle that sort of thing. I believe it is still up on Netflix, so check it out. I personally liked this movie. I think this would fall under the "this movie is so insane that I don't know how it was made" category. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0266308/
