Omission(?): After Earth

Just a bit of speculation, but I had a theory about something in the movie. The Ursas were not an independent race of aliens, but just creatures that were used by other aliens to fight humans. I don't believe that they ever refer to the other aliens by name.

 

Is it possible that the aliens are actually the Psychlos from Battlefield Earth?

They definitely say the Ursas were engineered by another race, we just never see them or hear anything about them. At this point, I would totally buy the Psychlos explanation.
