Shannon 2953 Posted February 23, 2016 Throughout the 60's and 70's, Spalding Gray was a major player in New York's avant-garde theater scene, and co-founded the Wooster Group with Willem Dafoe and Elizabeth LeCompte. In this piece, Spalding draws upon those experiences, turning his many roles (each drawn from a box of index cards during the show) into a personal recollection of this storied period in American theater.
