As a disabled person, I am overwhelmed how offensive this comedy is. Gene Wilder is deaf, Richard Pryor is blind an THAT'S THE ONLY JOKE, Just two people with sensory impairments who've witnessed a crime repeatedly hurting themselves.

the fact the it came out in 1989, after the disabled rights movement started is baffling.

The only thing that I remember about this movie is a police officer telling Gene Wilder that they had mens rea and he misreading it to think that the officer thought they were gay lovers.
