GregSaunders 0 Posted July 14, 2016 Released a year apart from each other, one reinvented the romantic comedy for modern audiences and the other did the same for action movies. Both were critical and commercial hits which kicked off the careers of their respective stars. And both prominently feature Christmas music. Â Which one had the greater influence? Which one is more rewatchable? Is it crazy to even compare the two? Share this post Link to post

HoldenMartinson 221 Posted July 14, 2016 DW Griffith's Intolerance vs Herbie the Love Bug Rides Again  North By Northwest vs Hellraiser 2  Knife In The Water vs Beverly Hills Chihuahua That last one is totally unfair. Knife in the Water stands zero chance against Beverly Hills Chihuahua. This is like pitting Citizen Kane against a bowl of rice. A BOWL OF RICE WINS EVERY DAMN TIME. 2 Share this post Link to post
FelipeSobreiro 54 Posted July 14, 2016 ROOM vs THE ROOM vs FOUR ROOMS vs PANIC ROOM Â They all feature the word ROOM in the title and were released within the same 20 year period. 5 Share this post Link to post
RobertBoberts 62 Posted July 14, 2016 Three Amigos versus Three Men and a Baby because they came out a year apart and are both about 3 men who get into a situation they are not prepared for. 1 Share this post Link to post
RobertBoberts 62 Posted July 14, 2016 Life During Wartime versus Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd because they are both sequels or prequels where the stars were replaced with different actors. Â Or how about American Psycho versus American Psycho 2 because that makes about as much sense as even making that "sequel" in the first place? Share this post Link to post

What about Three Amigos vs. Three Men vs. The Third Man? Numerology says it needs to be three, in this case, you know. 1 Share this post Link to post

RobertBoberts 62 Posted July 15, 2016 Â Â Hmm. What about Three Amigos vs. Three Men vs. The Third Man? Numerology says it needs to be three, in this case, you know. Â Good point. Of course that's also a movie about a man getting into a situation he is unprepared for. 1 Share this post Link to post
Marsellus_H 118 Posted July 15, 2016 Good point. Of course that's also a movie about a man getting into a situation he is unprepared for. Â Also, they are all movies, with people talking to each other. 1 Share this post Link to post
RobertBoberts 62 Posted July 16, 2016 The Walking Dead versus Breaking Bad. This would be great because just like the Walking Dead, Breaking Bad is not a movie. Share this post Link to post

Marsellus_H 118 Posted July 18, 2016 We restored Au hasard Balthazar to technicolor??? It's probably that Michael-Bay-produced 3d-remake everybody is talking about. 1 Share this post Link to post
HoldenMartinson 221 Posted July 18, 2016 It's probably that Michael-Bay-produced 3d-remake everybody is talking about. I know that's a joke, but I would pay so much money to see Michael Bay remake Au hasard Balthazar. Can you imagine what his take on human suffering and self-sabotage would look like? Plus, his actor work is cut out for him. All he has to do to make people miserable for the film is to show them his movies one after another. 1 Share this post Link to post
FelipeSobreiro 54 Posted July 21, 2016 Thanks to this thread my brain keeps coming up with stupid versus scenarios!  IMMORTAL BELOVED vs BEETHOVEN  This one is self-explanatory  MY LEFT FOOT vs IDLE HANDS  Movies in which a character either controls only a limb or everything but a limb Share this post Link to post
Ryan L 57 Posted July 22, 2016 BACK TO THE FUTURE vs AMERICAN PSYCHO - It's time to go back in time to when it was hip to be square. I can't wait for the news on which wins! Â SUNSET BLVD vs LA CONFIDENTIAL - Who said dead men tell no tales? Â SLEEPING DOGS LIE vs ALL DOGS GO TO HEAVEN - A battle between a dog figuratively or literally going to heaven. Â BLUE VELVET vs POLYESTER - Which fabric flick shall reign supreme? Â IMMORTAL BELOVED vs BEETHOVEN I would've gone with AMADEUS vs BEETHOVEN. 1 Share this post Link to post
