I just met Scott, Paul, Mike and Lauren and totally froze up

Star struck is not the right term but I was definitely struck by these stars tonight. They just did a great show in Melbourne tonight and for the meet and greet afterwards I basically functioned like a fish who has just learnt the English language and is meeting comedy people who he has loved for years.

I have been listening to Cbb (and all the others) for 6 years and follow along with all the stories all the In jokes and man oh man that really did not mean shit when Scott looked me in the eyes and asked "so did you enjoy the show?" I wanted to say "Yeah I enjoyed the show,,,oh and also I know the rythm of the way you talk! I only know that with a few people like my kids and wife,,,,and you. I think you are a talented, gifted and joyous human being and I don't even know how to start telling you how much I appreciate all that you have done. I love what you do and i just want you to keep doing more. Thank you Scott" but I said something about the show being great and how travel is hard and everyone in the audience looks like me.

I clumsily moved onto mike and shook his hand and said "how are you" then my wife spoke to Lauren about Jurassic world and I took a photo. I was meant to say to mike "oh btw the birthday boys was fantastic and I know you know how amazing it was to work with bob odenkirk but you deserved the shot, but you also deserved the success aswell I know you will land it with something else. Also the episode of improv 4 humans where you did the Seinfeld impression is my fave of all time and I've been listening to that for years. Your stand up set was great and I adore the way you write" and to Lauren I was meant to mention "you are great and you deserve all your success and I'm so glad for you. Please keep doing podcasts even when you are way too big of a star don't forget about us earth people."

But I couldn't focus because Paul was there,,,,PAUL! Now I know how ridiculous all of this is, I know Paul is just a guy, I know he was a little freaked out that he was on the other side of the world about to talk to not only comedy nerds but very specific pft and cbb nerds. Anyway I defaulted back to travel and jet lag when what i wanted to say was "you are amazing, you truly are special. Not only do you make me laugh but I agree with you on pretty much everything. Your chick fillet "piece" is something I will share with my kids. i love it all and I just want you to make more. Your Mac Weldon ads are the best advertising material in the history of earth. You also deserve all your success please continue to make more and more. I wish you happiness thank you thank you thank you"

It was one of the weirdest experiences of my life totally shutting down in front of people not because of fame but because I have known them for 6 years and they had no idea who I was. I honestly had no idea how to form the words to say I love you and I just want more of what you do because it's amazing every single time.
