Fading of the Cries (2010)

I was not even aware of this movie until a friend watched it and then felt the need to share how amazingly horrible it is -- I also didn't realize a movie could have a Rotten Tomatoes score of 0%.

 

This film has everything you need to make a terrible horror movie: nonsensical/nonexistent plot, a trailer with lots of birds and oddly whimsical music, that kid from Rookie of the Year (a 90s classic).

 

Some questions to ponder include:

No really, HOW did this get made?

HOW did they get Brad Dourif to be in this movie?!

What genre or target audience were the creators aiming for (because I genuinely have no idea, other than to rope in Lord of the Rings fans with Dourif)?

This movie feels like it was made by someone who REALLY likes Konami games and Twilight.

 

That said, for all the terrible greenscreen effects, that trailer did have some striking visuals. Sounds like they had more ambition than skills.
