  1. I think earwolf used their insider knowledge to deliberately add a bunch of yellow stuff to the studios to up the pic warmth because they didn't want the visiting galaxy of stars that regularly grace those hallowed halls to look all washed out and gross in the photos
  2. I think it was very brave and cool and smart of Hayes and Sean to take the studio's note and bring back the Teaser Freezer

Episode 329 — Too Much Tuna Tour

I love how Mulaney basically uses his character to just be honest about stuff, the end 30 mins is automatically among some of the best stuff ever on CBB.

Episode 329 — Too Much Tuna Tour

I've waited so long for this episode...

    Episode 213.5 — 1/02/14 TWO CHARTED 152

It's also a hit because it was done by a like 16 year old girl who most people want to think would like them if they met her. Imagine if she didn't... You got that to deal with and then also think you're in some way authentic

    Episode BO2014.3 — Best of 2014 Pt 3

Each new best of really makes me want Scott and PFT to just do a musical episode already
  7. Also, Gay Penguins! They do exist! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roy_and_Silo http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-kent-27405652
  8. I feel so dumb I didn't get that they were doing a narrative premise last time

    Episode BO2014.1 — Best of 2014 Pt 1

I love hearing the Auks and PFT just shoot the shit. It's made even better by its relative rarity.

Episode 211 — Headshot Crime Detective

Great ep With the questions, I kind of wish they'd go back to how Howard used to frame questions for the guest as these weird tangential riddles they had to solve. The beauty of the old way was it kind of forced people to look at their lives from a different angle, making their answers be way different to how they could be on other podcasts or elsewhere. It's just that I think for a lot of people in show business they sort of have to come up with scripted answers for questions about their life just because of how often they get asked them. Anyway loved this show and delving further into the bottomless well of secrets and weird shit done in childhood that is Howard Kremer. also haha the spellchecker doesn't recognise podcasts as a word here of all places just traditional media like computers taking further potshots at this bold new world I guess

    Episode 326 — 2014 Holiday Spectacular

Holy shit when they start quizzing Aimee about the films she's seen reminds me so much of when she was on Who Charted and just charmingly unaware of any pop culture
  12. This episode was a goddamn masterpiece
  13. I legit had to stop this partway through to get my breath. Mr Shore; -makes mention of his heroic dedication to those poor flyover states -immediately tries to throw Andy Dick under the bus, rightfully juxtaposing his correctly elevated status compared to Mr Dick -tries to get the room to turn on Engineer Cody, again, like a hero -lets us all know that "squeezing the ja-uuuice" is NOT to be done "like a homo". After all they have enough in this world And congrats to Engineer Cody for showing Mr Shore the ABSOLUTELY CORRECT amount of respect considering how scary it must have been to be in the same room as such a giant of entertainment.
  14. I vote for keeping both in the podcast. As to why people get in such a tizz about whatever segment, I think there are a couple of reasons; 1. People get invested in podcasts maybe more than any other type of media. If you put on something they don't like, it might feel like you're calling them wrong. You aren't, but the lack of a host persona like you'd get on radio or tv makes it feel more personal. Like if people watch Bill Maher because they hate themselves, they know that whatever he's saying is at the very least tweaked to provoke. With Besser it's his true opinion, making disagreements felt more keenly. Leading to... 2. People just want the Master Blaster to be on their side. This weird polarization/lack of nuance/no-true-Scotsman thing that goes on on the internet where every issue gets tied to either progressivism or conservatism, leads to a, "No true progressive/conservative would believe ________". ...is a case in point. (Not tryna rag on you erudite crudite) It's just that podcasting in general is such a new medium that I don't think we as a whole have figured out quite how to relate to it. It's so personal and intimate that it does foster this feeling of quasi-friendship or whatever. But, unlike when we disagree about some matter of politics with a friend and are then able to change the subject and continue being friends, on a podcast whenever there's a disagreement about politics that's the final word. It's like if whenever you disagreed with a friend about politics, you both bolt ran away when the argument was at it's most heightened and one side just stewed about it coming up with esprit descalier comebacks. Anyway love the show, love the music, love the arguments.
