For the first time ever, How Did This Get Made? has invited a director to join us in discussing their movie. Our guests next week will be comedian Patton Oswalt and director Lexi Alexander who will help us discuss Punisher: War Zone. This episode is coming out earlier than usual (October 3rd) so submit your questions for Lexi as soon as possible. And if you live on Los Angeles, be sure to see Punisher: War Zone at the New Beverly on October 4th.

God this is one of my absolute favorite movies of all time. Been listening for a while but had to register for the opportunity to ask Lexi about the story behind the amazing rooftop barrel roll interrupted by Punisher's rocket. The first time I saw that I missed the ensuing 5 minutes of the movie because I nearly passed out laughing. So who was the mastermind behind that particular scene? At what point during its inception, filming or post production did anybody realize it was going to be one of the most amazing things ever filmed?

Wish I was in LA so I could watch this on the big screen again.

I honestly did enjoy this movie. I'm a huge fan of over the top action movies and the Punisher in general. The movie is so close to the Marvel Comics series of the same name in tone and my question would be: What was the balance in delivering the experience from the comics and going your own way with it? I particularly enjoyed the scenes with the family of the agent he kills. It was a glimpse at the kind of person Frank Castle is. Crazy? Yes. But also a man with a strange code of honor he lives by and that involves not harming the innocent. Ever.

As a comic book fan, I say job well done.

This movie is amazing:)

My question for Lexi Alexander is - and I mean this 100% truthfully/non ironically -, "Why don't you direct all action movies?".

I'm curious if Lexi has seen the previous Punisher movies, the Thomas Jane one and the Dolph Lundgren one, and if she has seen them, what her opinion was of them.

I know you guys want an open, honest discussion but here is my question: Is there anyway this film could one day be re-interpreted into a high-caliber overly violent borderline snuff porn? The cum loads would be more explosive, the hair lines, more receding, creepy and weird but most of all the question would be asked, "can anyone dominate the insatiable and virile Jizzsaw?"

Jeez, this episode is going to phenomenal. Cannot wait. My question for Lexi, is: "What was it like working with Marvel? Did they place any restrictions on violence, language, etc? This movie is the first live-action film under the Marvel Knights banner, so did you feel any extra pressure setting up a 'tentpole', sort of?"
Thanks guys, and by the way the next Marvel Knights movie to be released is Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. Cannot wait to hear your episode on that.
