  1. If you live in the UK and your mum and dad have sky, then you should be aware that all of season 3 of The Leftovers is being added to on demand on the 4th of July. You could watch an episode of that during the time when you would normally have listened to Hollywood Handbook. Both are great shows and I'm glad that they were both allowed to end on their own terms.

  2. Now time for my SPOILER POST where I get in depth!

I enjoyed Brett's role as Sean's crony and Bang was really good as the (already) exacerbated straight man. The star of the show this week was Sean. For a while I thought he was out of his depth and this whole endeavour was just a trick to hang out with his friend Bang. THIS IS NOT THE CASE. It is [superspoiler]Revealed that Sean is just really good at acting and that was for a role.[/superpoiler]

It is difficult to talk about this show without bringing up someone who doesn't actually appear in this episode but whose presence can be felt like an invisible specter in Harry Potter's invisibility cloak. This person does feel missing and it is worth remembering that this podcast wouldn't exist without them. I'm talking, of course, about me. As a loyal listener of Hollywood Handbook and Howl subscriber I can't help but feel responsible for this podcast getting greenlit. They should really fly me out to LA and let me be on season 2.

  3. When I was posting my really funny A star is Cody's sister. I googled to make sure Astor and Cody were definitely the kids names in Dexter. I ended up reading Astor's entry in the Dexter wikia.

    My favourite part was

Astor has become very cynical and hostile, behaving and talking to Dexter in a way the viewer would not have expected of Astor in season 1.

After some rocky attempts by Dexter to win back Astor, their relationship is saved when Dexter, showing his paternal love, beats Olivia's mother's abusive boyfriend (Barry Kurt) to a bloody pulp.
