  1. Wow, great episode. Not only did I finally get to find out how Mary feels about movies, but Hayes gave us our first "too scary" in a while, I believe! However, I am very upset that Tim and Anastasia have been forced to move on from the show. Are the boys jealous, afraid that the listeners will like these two more than the hosts?
  2. Mary, you used to live in Chicago. How sick did you get of people asking you about deep dish pizza? What do you think about movies? Why did it take you so long to go on Hollywood Handbook?
  3. That word cloud is great, but I can't find Bruce. Bruce Reid Robinson II, known to us as "BRRII," "BRR2," or simply "Bruce," is such an integral part of this forum that I can't believe "Bruce" isn't in the word cloud yet, so I know I'm surely just missing the "Bruce." Anybody see that Bruce? I know Bruce must be in there because Andy posted an apology to Bruce after he accidentally dropped Bruce's call. First person to find the "Bruce" in that word cloud gets a free like from me, and I bet from Bruce as well! JMonsterface, maybe you should run those numbers again so it's a little easier to find Bruce, because I know Bruce is important to us all. EDIT: Wow, Honlads found it while I was typing! Great job, Laddy! Can't believe I missed it!
  4. That was good, Colt, but it was a little lacking in the "contains my name" area.
  5. Wow, that's awesome. OK it's official, Sillylillyquee is the best new poster. Sorry, other new posters, you're gonna have to try a little harder if you want my endorsement. (Which I KNOW you do!)
  6. Not me Why are your real-life friends keeping such close tabs on your facebook friends?
  7. Can't wait to see what Silylillyquee is cooking up separately for each individual forum member not pictured in her drawing. Seems like it'll take a while, but surely it will be worth the wait.
  8. You don't have to tell me, ADC. I've already pre-emptively quit my job in anticipation of the next call-in episode.
  9. Dang, SteveH has 400 posts and I only got like 70-something even though I'm pretty sure I've been here longer. (Although who can even remember the forum pre-AD?) Guess I gotta start posting way more, huh?
  10. Finally got through to Andy and then I had to go into work. This makes my top 5 regrets in life.
  11. Marshall, your d looks so very British.
  12. Hopefully this has an impact
  13. Congrats on 1,000 posts, Staz! What are you gonna do to celebrate? Put a beetle on your face? That's my vote.
  14. Wow, Sean deserves major credit for handling the ScuzzMan and Dom so well without Hayes. That must have been tough. Got so mad when those guys tried to address the Scoop Troop. PS The way Sean pronounced the word "sorry" was great.
  15. Here's a really fun article about improv in my college alumni magazine that I thought you guys might enjoy. What a bold move to write an article about humor that is devoid of any humor!
  16. I'm in a fight with my roommate because he said the new Home Blitz song sounds like Crimpshine.
  17. Is it as good as "How Bizarre" though?
  18. Fringe is in, you're good! EDIT: Congrats to me on my 69th post B) B)
  19. Well, it's Monday, and now that I've had some time to reflect, I'm ready to give you the SXSW fashion report. For women, you either have to wear all black and lots of jewelry OR a denim vest over the rest of your outfit. Those are your only two options and you must pick one. You may not choose both, and you may not choose to wear something else. For men, loud Hawaiian shirts are still in, but their popularity seems to be waning a bit. Band t-shirts (black or white only) are obviously still OK as long as it's either a cool band on its way up or a band you only like ironically. Also, this is key, danglers are becoming a necessity. Yes, the trend of one dangly earring on men has been omnipresent for a few years within the hardcore scene, but this year it really exploded, and it's not confined to just hardcore anymore. No matter what genre you are in, you must now get a dangler. Also, these bands were good: Uniform, Ultimate Painting, Michael Rault.
  20. Great job, everybody loves it when a new person comes on the forums and immediately says bizarre and uncomfortable sexual stuff about one of the few female members.
  21. Hi guys I lied before and of those bands I only saw Merchandise, they were great as usual, their guitarist is one of the best and I really like watching him play. I also saw 2 sets from a band called Uniform, so far easily the best band I hadn't heard before. I left early and I feel good about my decision. There is a show on the bridge after bar close, and it has a really good lineup, but I don't want to be out until 5 and then get up at 8 for work and then work and then play a show and then watch a million bands again. I will do the bridge shows tomorrow and Saturday instead if they're any good. I was going to read the fanfic but I did a search for the word "fork" and it appeared 0 times, so fuck that.
  22. Hi Bruce! Yes, I did listen to the episode this week. It was so good! I was able to listen on my way to and from work because I also have to work every day this week, which is...hectic. The shows have been OK but things are kind of just getting going. I have watched other bands but nobody has really blown me away so far. I am hoping tonight will be good. I am going to see Gang of Four, Pop Group, Merchandise, Deerhoof, and a bunch of other bands. People have almost all been really nice and we're selling some albums and stuff but one Twitter guy said we were a "snoozefest" which made me feel surprisingly bad because, you know, yesterday I worked and then went immediately to our first show and then straight to our second show, where that guy saw us, and I was really tired, but I tried SO HARD at that show. By the end of it I was all sweaty and achey. And I don't even remember seeing that guy there, so he must have been the true snoozefest. Anyway the rest of our shows should be better. Things are pretty busy but I have enough time right now to take a shower and watch this week's episode of the Challenge, so that is a nice treat. EDIT: Actually Big Tits (from Oakland) were really good but it's really hard to like them with that name.
  23. Great news: we got a really good episode today, guys Great news, pt 2: I am drunk PS All new people are Joe, come on
  24. Not 100% sure what's going on here but here are some pictures for you guys. Friends: (ignore human please. he was not invited to be in the picture and is not the friends I am referring to.) A picture of a train that a kid named Hudson drew for me: (don't worry, before drawing it, he asked my bandmate, "does she love trains?")
  25. I can talk about the Trux all goddamn day. I think that Neil is the best guitarist of my lifetime. Last May I got to interview him and see his current band (the Howling Hex), and it was one of the highlights of my year.
