EPISODE 125 — LIVE FROM SXSW: The Future of Comedy
MarcusIrving replied to agata's topic in Hollywood Handbook
Periodically throughout the day I laugh really hard at the idea of the entire audience going nuts when Sean and Hayes suggest that Rosie from the Jetsons should have been hotter.- 180 replies

EPISODE 215 — Robbie Fulks in Rocky Road Pie Town
MarcusIrving replied to JulyDiaz's topic in improv4humans with Matt Besser
It's been such a long time since I've heard good country music. Thank you for introducing me to Fulks. Also, the future sex scene is the hardest I've laughed in a long time. -
I hope Fallon and Sean don't wait to listen to this for 6 months on Howl...

I can't imagine Paul's inbox is going to be pleasant after those Game of Thrones comments. -
CBB's been knocking it out of the park with the musical guests this year. Peaches was awesome.

How great would it be if we got Grease Knows Eggs Show shirts before HH gets one? -

Great episodes to introduce someone to CBB?
MarcusIrving replied to waxpop's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
I second iBrain. It was my first episode and it was a great intro. I've been listening the second they release ever since. FnP is also a pretty good intro point, as it would probably help you get used to characters. I didn't get or like hearing them until I heard about 10 eps, and FnPs characters are so lax that it would ease you into the idea of them quickly. Although you did say she listens to Spontaneanation, so that work is probably done already. So, iBrain! -
A tarp sized book sold at 7-Eleven... Is this what Jimmy and Matt were seeing on Never Not Funny?

EPISODE 266 — Snohomish (The Other Scalabrine)
MarcusIrving replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Sklarbro Country
Love Rapaport's energy. His own podcast is a lot of fun. -
Has anybody asked what Howl's fuck style is yet? I think we need to know.
-
I agree, but I don't really think everybody is intending it. I reread my own comment after posting and it sounded pretty whiny, but while writing it I was just genuinely asking a question with no malice intentions. Text is just a hard medium to not sound like a jerk in.

This is probably the weirdest and dumbest question of all, but will there be some way to still hear the old shows with the ads? I like the ads. The people from Earwolf really make them funny. They are just as much a part of the show to me. Even if I hear the exact same copy used for Who Charted, Comedy Bang Bang, and Sklarbro I never skip them. Some bit of comedy always comes from them. The whole journey from ad to full episode that Sean & Hayes (of Hollywood Handbook fame) take is one of my favorite things to ever happen on CBB. I understand I'm probably alone here, but I'll miss hearing the old Squarespace and Stamps.com ads in episodes I haven't already downloaded to my phone. It's also the whole reason I'm not listening to new episodes in the app.

I like the ads. Probably won't be listening to new eps in the app. Super excited to listen to old WTF and those live episodes of CBB I've gone years without listening to. If you guys can get old Never Not Funny on Howl my year will have been made.

InAPPropriate Comedy (2013)
MarcusIrving replied to hillmancobs's topic in Bad Movie Recommendations
I watched this on Netflix one night because I hate myself. It's awful awful awful but isn't right for the show. It's just offensive and bad. Nothing could really be said other than that. Nothing funny anyway. Also I imagine they know Ari Shaffir who has the worst segments in the whole movie, so they wouldn't want to talk about that. -
EPISODE 22 - U2 Talk 2 U
MarcusIrving replied to JulyDiaz's topic in U Talkin' Talking Heads 2 My Talking Head
Best UTU2TM yet! I couldn't believe how funny all the lovable lads were. Your interview was truly great, you guys being so noticeably nervice made it even better. I could feel how excited both of you were and it gave me chills more than once. Besides, you acted way more professional than any of us would have. I'm genuinely jealous of you guys that you got to hear the new album. Can't wait til it's out. Also, I can't believe that it's an actual member of the band (U2) that fought for you guys to continue the show for us. -
EPISODE 367 — Bits, Riffs, and Friendships
MarcusIrving replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Comedy Bang Bang
These are three of my favorite guests that I've been wanting back on for a long, long time. You're spoiling us today, Earwolf. -
Anybody else think of UTU2TM when the talk of walking 35 mph came up?

Episode 1624 - Todd Levin

I'm with Matt on the shoe thing. I might even go $50.
