I watched Misery Loves Company today. It was alright. It could have opened better. The pacing of the first 5 minutes or so felt more like a youtube video that a film festival-worthy documentary. But then they slowed down the pace, got more logical in their progression of topics, and moved towards making a few points. At times it veered away from its own topic and just became "this story was funny, let's include it in the movie", but the breadth of talent that was interviewed was impressive, and it was generally an interesting look into the comedy scene. I'd recommend it to anybody who would describe themselves as a comedy nerd.

I crack up at Scott's repeated mentions of "the movie with the train coming towards the screen", the first movie ever. Who knew it was also the first ever talkie? "All aboard!" Wild stuff. Also, this episode lost all believability for me when the foley artist didn't know what a Wilhelm scream was. 0/5 episode.

Who's dick do I need to suck to download this episode? I don't see it anywhere. Don't play with my emotions like this.

It was pretty much inevitable that somebody would call me "easily offended" because I mentioned that mean-spirited jokes about the tragic death of somebody's mother didn't jive with me. "Jeez, all I'm doin is diggin up the skulls of stillborn babies and fucking their eye sockets. Don't see why you gotta be such a prude". I think everybody draws the line somewhere.

Guys, I know these kind of comments are always met with a sentiment of "if you don't like it, geeeeet outta here!", but I have to voice my concerns over some of the jokes made. The jokes about babyfucking, whatever, cumfarts, ok, but the stuff about Kanye's mother was, in my opinion, super distasteful. "I mean, he lost his mother from a plastic surgery accident, I mean it's like...[halfhearted grumbles]" Followed by a bit of riffing on getting his mom some bangin' titties. I know Kanye is pretty villified these days, but I really don't think that makes it ok to mock the death of his mother, or, as Scott did, imply that it's somehow not a tragedy, because anyone who dies from plastic surgery knows the risks. Maybe I'm being lame and uncool here, but as a big fan of Scott and Horatio, it sorta felt like when you're at a family reunion and your cool uncle all of the sudden starts telling racist jokes. Kind of a bummer. (For what it's worth, it was a breast reduction, by the way, not a breast augmentation)

I don't know if there's some "blue dress with black frills" stuff going on or what in those pictures, but does anyone know what color the first shirt actually is? I dig the grey, but I have this weird OCD thing about blue shirts and I can't wear them.
